Incoming 1Ls / Re: Baylor Housing
« on: April 20, 2005, 03:03:56 PM »
I wrote mine on March 11 and it was deposited March 25, but since it was before deposits were due it might have been deposited fast because they didn't have a lot to sort through.

We should start a thread for those of us decided on Baylor.

I went to Baylor undergrad and am heading back that way.  I'm working w/ K&S to find something.  I have a roomie and we are dying to live in a loft downtown, but there aren't many left and we can't get up there to look for a couple weeks.  Also if you just want a 1 bedroon there are lots of little random apts in the Castle Heights area.  The nice neighborhood close to downtown that has a lot of old Waco families.  Some of the houses have been converted and make really nice, cute apts.  They are mostly 1/1 or 2/1.  The 2/1's are probably even affordable enough for some to live in by themselves.  I think they run around $650.  Try Harrell Realty's site.  I don't know the exact URL, but google it and it should come up.

Just got my People's College of Law t-shirt...check it out, and let me know if you want one, too.

I would totally by a shirt and wear it to my first day of law school.  I think it would make a good impression on my profs.  They would know I'm really a hard worker and do it for the people, not the man.

Studying for the LSAT / Re: Q for those who scored above 160

I only did one full length timed test.  I just did a section at a time after that.  Sometimes timed, sometimes not depending on where I was, how much I could focus etc.

I really want a tshirt.  Can we order those online?

New York, it's the only state w/ more than one.  Cornell and Columbia.  And the kicker was Regis' little line when I lost, "Well, that would be a tough question for a Texas girl."  It made me feel like a dumb Southerner.

did you do well ellie?

No I sucked.  I missed the $32,000 question and fell to win only $1,000.  It depends so much on luck cause some of the questions in the middle are easy, but it just might not be something you know.  Mine was "What state has the most ivy league schools?"  I didn't know then, but I know now!!  I thought I knew so I didn't use a lifeline (which everyone gives me a hard time about.)

He was not friendly at all. And they treat you like you are in bootcamp. I can say the way it really is now that I've received my check.

What is it w/ game show hosts.  Regis is a punk in real life too.  I did millionaire like 4 yrs ago and he couldn't pronounce anyone's name and took a makeup break every 5 seconds.  It was also boot campish, they made this girl redo her reaction when she won fastest finger because she wasn't excited enough then they ended up skipping her first 5 questions when it aired and said she did them over a "commercial break" because she was so boring.
