I would recommend not using a broker if you can help it.  Boston apartments are expensive enough without paying them a month's rent for 15 minutes worth of time.  Craigslist is okay, but I used (which is best if you're looking to live with a roommate).

I second the advice of going to, specifically the No-Fee Listings:

i sent an email asking a school (houston) if i could come visit, and if it would be worthwhile to make appointments to meet anybody. they wrote back and said they were going to review all waitlist applications in a couple weeks and that if they wanted me to come for an interview they would contact me at that time. she didn't seem annoyed. i don't plan to push it anymore.

Boston is a fun, exciting, sophisticated, intellectual hub, and upstate NY, well...  :-\

don't fool yourself... T2, T3, T4 are all regional school, so if you don't want to live in upstate NY, don't go to school there unless it is Cornell.

(unless syracuse has some specialty area that you are REALLY interested in)

some ask on the app.  i don't think they would know otherwise.

someone should tell your boss that he can attract more flies with honey... i just got another $4.5k salary bump.

if they keep this up, i am going to have to seriously consider putting LS off one more year.

lemme get this straight?

you have a 2.9/150 and you didn't apply to any schools ranked lower than Georgia State (89).

you actually got waitlisted at W&M (29), W&L (23),  and UGA (31)? Congratulations!!! You must have one hell of a personal statement!

of your pending schools, i'd say you have a slight chance at case western, but i don't see USC, Emory or Mich accepting you.

you are already way ahread of where you should be with those numbers. i hope some of your luck rubs off on me by sharing your thread with you.
