Law School Discussion

I just got put on hold by Miami until 4/30...3.0 (2.8 LSAC), 153/163 LSAT and 8.5 years of work experience.  It was my #1 choice, so it's a big letdown.

I've already submitted a voluntary addemdum explaining the lsat differential (full cross country track meet went on outside testing site first time around during two sections).  I'm not sure what I'm going to do now.

I'm waiting...applied on the 12/23 and report was completed on 12/30.  I spoke to the admissions office and they said the app went to committe arond 1/14.  I've been getting pretty nervous b/c it's my number one choice and I think I'm borderline.  I had a 153 and 163 LSAT (avg 158) and a 3.0 that got butchered by LSAC to a 2.8.  I do have almost nine years of strong work experience that I'm hoping will be the deciding factor, but I'm have a feeling that I have bad news coming....we'll see...

Yes, I check it on a daily basis.  It seems to me that people from our time frame are hearing back now.  The fact that I haven't is making me a bit nervous, even if maybe I shouldn't be (that and the fact that I think my #'s are borderline).

Sometimes I think it would be better without tools to see what was happening with the rest of the group...

My numbers are borderline 3.0 with a first lsat of 153 and a second lsat of 163 (avg. 158).  I have almost 9 years of work experience, and am now at a reasonably high level.  I'm hoping they take this into consideration as Miami is my first choice.  My family is in SoFl now and I'd like to practice down there...

I'm starting to get the feeling that I'm not going to get in considering it seems that people have been hearing more quickly than I have. 

Did you get the general financial aid mailing?  I've been waiting to hear from them also, but I got a financial aid instruction mailing last week.  I have no idea if this means anything...
