that's what i thought, but worth the question.

Thanks for all the advice...

Well I'm a Manhattanite so no plates to change, but I'll have to do the driver's license thing right away.  Any chance of getting it from year one?

Both are very good points...thanks.  Do either of you know how difficult it is to gain in state residency as a grad student.  I know in undergrad at UF it was possible, but very difficult.  Will it be easier now considering I'm 30 and my parents haven't claimed me as a dependent for almost 10 yrs?

At this point, my objective is to practice in South Florida.  My first choice has always been Miami, and I am now on their waitlist.  Based upon information floating around, it looks like my chances for admission there are minimal.  I am now moving forward under the assumption that I will ultimately be rejected.  I came to grips with this and came to the conclusion that I will go to Nova and network my ass of to get a decent job as many people I know who work in this market have done.

Things got complicated a bit today when I learned of my acceptance to FSU.  Assuming that I can get in state tuition my last two years ( I live in NY now), it looks like a great option.  My concern is that my best employment options will be in North Florida.  I went to UF and know for a fact that I do not want to end up in Jax, Orlando, Tampa, etc.

Does anyone have any quality information and opinions on what my employment chances will be at good firms in South Florida coming from FSU and Nova?  I am looking at law school as a means to an end, so really the quality and location of opportunities are by far my most important decision criteria.  Any help that anyone can provide is greatly appreciated...

I'm sorry to hear about your news.  Were you on a hold list before, or was this the first that you've heard from them?

Whether you want to admit it or not, Villanova over G-town is considered to be one of the greatest upsets in the history of sports.  You probably weren't old enough to watch college basketball when it happened, but it was an unbelievable upset...

Even better, my apologies.  It must have been the Braves logo that threw me off.

So are you going to call them?  What else are you going to submit?

Indeed my good man, indeed.  People tell me there's still a decent chance, so we'll see.
