General Off-Topic Board / Re: NFL Draft Thread
« on: April 22, 2006, 10:09:00 PM »
I am not sure why everybody is so high on Bush, Hes a great prospect, but he doesn't necessarily strike me as a better prospect than say willis mchagee before he f*cked up his leg a couple years ago.

He is looked at as a no-miss prospect, who likely will be the next LT...  QB's are a dime a dozen, but top notch RB's are difference makers...

He won't look like the next LT until Houston fixes that god-awful offensive line they have. I personally thought D'Brickishaw Ferguson would fit them best because David Carr regulary gets killed behind that line and Ferguson is likely the next Walter Jones or Jonathan Ogden.

I'm hoping that Haloti Ngata or Brodrick Bunkley falls to the Eagles at #14, as either of them would be perfect for the defense. I wouldn't mind Winston Justice either.

My favorite draft memory of course is Bill Tobin's rant against Mel Kiper..."Who the hell is Mel Kiper?!?!?!"

Congrats! I knew you were waiting a while for Nova, good to see you get in...

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Suffolk vs. Villanova

I'd say go to Nova, but then again I'm going to Nova so there might be a bit of bias. All kidding aside, I'd agree with Dunson with doing well at Nova and letting the reputation carry you. Worst-case scenario is do well at Nova, work in PA, NJ, or NY for 2 years, then lateral over to Boston.

Just got back from AC and again it was a sweet time.  Won a nice chunk in 10/20, lost a little in BJ, and of course got drunk as hell.

I thought I saw some signs saying there is a direct train route from Philly into AC, is that true???  Anyone have any info on that?

The free drinks are such a nice perk, especially at the Borgata where they pretty much make whatever you want if you're playing poker.

Yeah Kev, the good thing about the entire communtiy was that everything was close to the apartment complexes it seemed. The banks, the grocery store, the CVS, the bars, a 15-20 minute drive gets you to everywhere that you want to go.

Anyone else play a lot of poker and gamble a lot in general???  We will be only an hour and a half or so from AC.

This summer I will probably be at AC about 4-5x a week hopefully playing poker as my job and generally just doing what I love all summer long.  AC is a little less than an hour from where I live in NJ.

My dad lives about 25 minutes away from AC, I'm more of a roulette person though.
I absolutely love the Borgata, seeing the cocktail waitresses that they have is worth the trip itself.

I've been looking on rent.com and using the housing sheet that Nova provided me, seems a little costly for rent, especially around school, which is understandable because it's the Main Line. I figure since I'd like to have my own room for next year that I'm likely to pay anywhere from $600 to $700 a month counting utilities if I'm living in the area. Conshohocken is a bit cheaper though, as is King of Prussia, but the traffic can be a bit much.

Anybody who's got good info for housing next year, shoot me a PM...
