Life isn't fair.  You could possibly get away with not listing them on the application if it just refers to a police record and makes no mention of "expunged charges."  However, you WILL have to list it on your SF-86 which goes along with your application to the board so you might as well remain consistant.

Even hadn't you been convicted, you would still have to list the original charges on your security clearance form.  Just google SF86 and you can see what it looks like.  Any police involvement will require the date of the offense as well as the disposition of the case, even if all charges are dropped.

Fair to you isn't what they are after.  They want to know the background of the potential officers who will have our soldiers, seamen, and airmen's  lives in their hands.

Just be completely candid and everything will be fine.  They aren't out to get you, just to get to know you ;).

What toilet do you go to that you have the faculty you just listed?

Nevermind, I see you go to Dickenson.  What is that, third tier?

It's Dickinson.

It's still third tier.

Ahh yes, the predictions of a bunch of internet hardas@es means so much....

Anyway, I have tried to let this die.  You are the losers bumping other threads and continuing your Nostradamus like predictions.

I could care less if you believe what I say or not.  Do you really think it matters when I get my paycheck or any of my tuition benefits that some moron on LSD doesn't believe me?

That is totally false, else you wouldn't be so vehemently defending yourself on the same board that you claim to care less about.  Now, regarding your numerous claims that you have done great things in your life and will be a sure bet success at GW, here is the long and short of it:  First, if you had done such great things and are so naturally successful, you'd be going somewhere better than GW.  Second, now that you have signed on to attend GW, it is incorrect to assume that you are any more or any less qualified to be there than any of your other classmates.  Law school is a whole new ballgame, and everyone that was able to get into such a good school must have done something right in the past - i.e. they must have been successful.  But the fact remains that 90% of any given 1L class will not be top 10%.  Everyone runs a statistically huge chance of being significantly less successful in law school than they ever have before, and you are no different.

Now, if you do end up shooting the lights out and being an academic rockstar, it won't matter when you carry yourself as an insufferable prick.  I know you claim to have a real identity and then some weird, cyber-identity and that you will be nice and civil to the people you like.  If this is actually true, it is just weird and people will very quickly see how much of a tool you are.  If it is not totally true, which I would put my money on, people again will quickly see what a pompous schmuck you are.  And, there is an excess of qualified law students with pretty good grades from pretty good schools, so your resume alone will not get you everywhere.

GW was my number 2 school, so why would I be going somewhere better?  I live/work in DC, my job is paying the bill, hence DC schools.  GULC was the only one I didn't get into.

Also, regarding your lame ass resume comment: dude, I already have a job with my agency if I want it.  If I decide to go firm hunting, that is my decision.  That is more than most of you schmuck internet tough guys can claim.

I think it is fantastic that you try to use logic to disucss my potential failure at law school based strictly on an internet forum.

Bottom line: I get a check every two weeks, I'm not taking out student loans, and I have a job with the feds (maybe not market rate but still damn good since I will have had years in service by the time law school ends).  Plus, if I am successful in law school I will end up where I want to be.

Your rants mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.  I'm still where I am and you are still a schmuck.  Later on.

He's one of those guys that thinks he knows it all, better then the professionals, so in his mind, he'll have a 4.0, but the grade on the paper will be 2.0 because they don't know what a great mind he is.  As far as his achievements in life, are we really going to take his word for it?

Yes, much different to assume failure based off of this forum.

Guys like me can and do finish at the top of their class everyday.

3.37 UGPA

Guys like me have great jobs,
"federal contract specialist"

beautiful wives,

wonderful, fulfilling lives.
Check the amount of time you spend on this web site and the number of lame insults you've thrown around when you know so little about other people. I think I speak for most of the people on this board when I say, shut the hell up and crawl back into your sad, miserable life.

A 3.45 (before LSDAS conversion) GPA isn't too d**mn bad considering I had 2 Ds in there during a rough semester when I had some things going on in my life.

My job with the government is better than you have ever had and I don't know many other jobs that pay what mine does AND pays law school tuition.

The edodgers thing is ridiculous.  That site is ridiculous.

I am done with you. You don't even have the balls to reveal who you are and where you attend law school hot shot.  I realize it must be depressing being a 2L, as you claim, without a summer job.

Feel free to PM me in a year and we can see how things pan out hot shot... Oh, but wait, I will likely have better things to do while you are mass mailing resumes.

Good luck to you.  You'll need it!

My guess is he will do pretty well. Love him or hate him, he's managed to do pretty well in his life so far... school, job, etc. You may not like his methods on this board, but in real life he gets what he wants.

This is what I think drives people like law nuts.  See, law is the genuine "nerd."  He has worked hard all his life and never really had much of a social life.  Therefore, when he comes into contact with someone like me who states his opinion and could care less who agrees with it, he WANTS to fantasize about my failure.  Law, I hate to burst your little insigificant bubble, but this isn't television.  Guys like me can and do finish at the top of their class everyday.  Guys like me have great jobs, beautiful wives, and wonderful, fulfilling lives.

That must really suck when you are a guy like you.

Yeah, I'm the troll.  Your entire life revolves around being an internet toughguy.  You probably got beat up and picked on a lot as a kid.

I could care less where you attend, but I doubt you are as great as you claim.  Like you said, you could be at yale but you would still be an insigificant, lonely, loser that sits around and acts tough on an internet forum.

It's OK, Erapunk. It's not the size of the LSAT score that matters. It's how you use it.

I see you can't let this go.  Look at you, posting over and over throughout the weekend.  Ha!

I'm going out like normal people do on a saturday night.  Have fun playing on the forum and talking trash to yourself about me all night.

You brought a smile to my face seeing that you are now responding to your own posts lol.  Loser.

General Board / Re: JAG Corps

any advice on which branch has the best JAG?  Navy, marines...?

It all depends on what you want.  You become a Marine to become a Marine.  If you are mostly set on being a JAG and want the best quality of life, then go with the Air Force.  They by far have the best quality of life.

Each branch has its' own merits.  Research them and decide which one is for you.
