Studying for the LSAT / Score Release ?
« on: June 20, 2005, 09:13:37 AM »

So, June '05 was my first real LSAT and I'm wondering what on or about June 27th means.  I read a post where people were saying that they would probably send scores out this Friday.  For people who have taken it before, is it common to get your score before the given date?  Or are people just being hopeful?  B/c in my experience when dealing with any large organization, i.e. the University, the Gov't, LSAC, stuff never happens before they say it will.

Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / SLU and WUSTL visit
« on: April 26, 2005, 11:50:09 AM »
I visited SLU and WUSTL with my PAD pre-law chapter on Friday.  Here's a brief report.  The people at SLU were very nice and helpful.  However, I didn't much care for the campus.  The law school is almost like a maze.  WUSTL is a very beautiful building, and I was very impressed with it.  The tour was conducted by a 1L, so he gave us some interesting info about law school and stuff like that.  However, they were not nearly as accomodating as SLU.  This makes sense, considering that they don't have to work as hard to get people to come there, since they have the benefit of a higher ranking.  However, I don't know how representative either of these tours were, considering it was the last day of classes for both schools, and things were pretty crazy.

I'm just posting this right before I have to go to class, so I recognize that it's not a great post.  If anyone has any specific questions about either school, go ahead and post them and I'll see what I can do.

Law School Admissions / LSACD

Hey guys,

I'm going to be applying in the next cycle and I was wondering if those of you who have used it this time around thought the the LSACD program was worth it.  I have poor penmanship, so I'm definitely not going to be writing out any apps, for fear of looking bad, but I've noticed almost all schools that I've looked into have either an online app or a pdf that you can fill out and then print.

Thoughts on if LSACD is necessary?

Do you guys think that I need to get a rec from a professor in both of my majors?  Would it look bad to have two from one and none from the other?  I plan to get a third from a judge that I worked for in her private practice for two summers.

PS I know it's a bit late, I'm not applying this cycle.
