I've been hearing rumors that Cardozo is extremely competitive, and I was wondering if anyone else has any experience/information they could share with me on that topic.
The reason I'm asking is that I received a scholarship contingent on upkeeping a 3.3 GPA, and I'm trying to gauge how hard it's going to be for me to do that. (does anyone know what teh average gpa in law school even is? i'm curious)
Thanks in advance!

they rejected me too. 167 / 3.84
i don't care too much about them cuz i don't think i would have went there
You don't think you'd have went there? Well dang, Louise! If you'da known you'se a wasn't done have went there, then why'd you done have applied?
I think a lot of people apply to certain number of schools that we might not go to. I believe it's called "safety". I noticed you got into Berkeley. I wouldn't call it in Good Taste to be making this kind of comment to someone about a school they didnt get into and you did...
EDIT: Lol, I didn't notice someone else posted almost the same exact comment. Anyway, whatever your intentions were, given the facts, I would still call that bad taste.

So now that the admissions deadlines have passed I'm ready and willing to share my personal statement with the world. A few friends critiqued it for me in recent months, but their analysis was always biased by friendship and pre-existing notions about the author. I'm very curious to know what total strangers think about my essay. If anyone is interested I'd be happy to e-mail it to you. Thanks.
oooh me! I think I read somewhere awhile back that you wrote for you school newspaper, so I'm really interested to see what an engineer that knows how to write writes like
) PM to me please!

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but I was on the law school numbers site, and it appears, at least to me, that a large portion of applications that have been rejected were rejected within a month of the file being completed for many top schools. While some accepted applications took less than a month as well, I noticed the acceptances tended to take longer.
Has anyone else noticed this. Any comments/ideas?
I am thinking maybe the longer u don't hear from a law school the better. At least that's what I'm hoping since it's been about 2 months for me and I still haven't heard anything from anywhere.
well, i've been watching lsn obessively for nyu, and it seems to me almost ALL acceptances came with in 1-2 wks of going complete.... and i havent gotten one yet!!!!!!!!!!! on the other hand all rejections came about 1 motnh or a little more after people being complete...and i'm just over a month of being complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i really want to go to nyu

500 isnt that much..but i already shelled out alot for these damn app fees...i just wish theyd hurry up so i haave enough time to make a good decision...
I think for some of the schools, they have a function where you can let them know you're facing a deposit deadline and they'll expidite the process for you. Worth a shot.
do you know if NYU does that? (it's the only one that matters for me =o)

I'm not on hold at Harvard, but if I was I'd probably be seriously brainstorming for some amazing essay material to send.

Please, please put me out of my misery with something this week. I'm going on my 10th day of total silence from all pending schools now...
I hate the silence. I had something from every school up to Wed. of last week and then nothing....I just want to know

I'm really worried about NYU because I've noticed almost 300 people are already in on LSN. that's more than any other school I've seen on there. I knwo NYU admited something 1000+ students last year, but I just cant help feeling that htey've probably done the bulk of their admittances already, and I'm just left behind in a sort of hold until april category.... i feel like i've already been deferred without being told i was deferred
