Apply to both, but if you get into Arizona- choose them over ASU

they've been around for a while, #17 on the T4 list.  PR ranks them #6 as 'most competitive students' -- not sure i care much for that.

they did send me a nice personal email, as opposed to the 'dear computer science/engineering major' one i received from wm & mary.

anyway, if you know something about them, or even have an opinion, i'd appreciate it

Just wondering- how do you know that they are ranked #17 on the T4 list- I always thought that T3 and T4 schools were not ranked?

I would say to start checking your email tomorrow (Friday) afternoon. Last year, I got mine at around 6 PM- completely unexepected

Are you a URM? If you are, I think that you will have no problem getting into tier 3/4 schools
