Studying for the LSAT / Re: dec 04 test takers--writing samples?
« on: January 15, 2005, 11:48:40 PM »
It's about writing ability and being able to support an argument. Which choice you pick is irrelevant as long as you can support it.

Oh and I actually had to look this up because I forgot which one I chose. I ended up picking the renovation of its current building.

Just had to chime in and say YES, SAT has NOTHING to do with your GPA (I got a 1490).

Just to make sure I am reading this correctly, is that last sentence saying that with free speech you can find out about dangerous ideas and therefore force people to keep them secret now that you know them? That seems kind of silly but that is how I interpret what you typed.

:D thanks for the shout-out. i had a chiashu 6% or something, but i'm sure glad i reached. i swear i have no family, friends, or connections at yls, but if people refuse to believe that then that's their prerogative.   ::)

congratulations to everyone else on the thread who reached high...

Lexylit, you're the poster child for this thread :) I don't know why people don't believe you. Your acceptance only encouraged me to shoot higher.

Love,

You have a good/great shot at T14. Northwestern takes the highest score if its more than a 10 point gap, and I've read that a 175+ is an auto admit (I read it on xoxo, but still...)

T25 should be a LOCK.

I hope you're RIGHT! I have been stressing out like crazy as I wait to hear back even though I've only had my reports sent out last week. I hope it all works out for you and me!

You have a GREAT average and an UNBELIEVEABLE high score  ;D
I'm considering USD, Santa Clara, Hastings, Davis. I was going to apply to more in CA, but after my early accepts, I can't see passing up a Top 25 for any other schools.

All great choices! I want to stay in California myself, but I don't know WHAT I'll do if I get into a top 25!

On this board it seems like my LSAT is average  :-[

This board is heavily skewed. You have a GREAT LSAT score! Which west coast schools are you considering? Have you thought about Loyola? Southwestern is good if you want to go the Entertainment law route.

Well, with the average you will have to improve 10 points for it to even matter. I hope you wait and apply for next cycle because I think you can increase your chances if you prep for the June or even October LSAT. They will consider your reported GPA by LSAC but consider if you add an addendum about why there is such a huge discrepancy and why they should risk taking you when your GPA is low, any upward trend might help. Best of luck!

Well if K is playing tennis, and P is also, then K will CERTAINLY not be last. However, it CAN be last if P is playing Golf, then K can be anywhere.
