Studying for the LSAT / Re: Sufficient/Necessary Reasoning
« on: January 17, 2005, 01:15:18 AM »
If you guys could post some sample questions that are problematic I can tell you how I would approach them. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you except keep practicing and see explanations to see why you got the answer right/wrong.

So, does anyone make kim chee ice cream?  That would be brilliant.

Studying for the LSAT / Re: Question for LSAT re-takers
« on: January 16, 2005, 03:18:35 AM »
Did you guys choose the same test center the second-time around? I'm asking because when I re-registered for February, I made sure not to pick the same test center as December, just because I don't want any residual "bad luck" hovering over me during the test. ::) Or am I just crazy? :D

I switched, but NOT because of bad luck. I took the first one at my actual undergrad and the desk area was exactly the size of a textbook. Uhh yeah, I was practically writing on my lap. I switched to the community college I go to and I had a whole 4 by 2 foot table all to myself. It DEFINITELY made me feel more relaxed and confident.

Studying for the LSAT / Re: dec 04 test takers--writing samples?

It's about writing ability and being able to support an argument. Which choice you pick is irrelevant as long as you can support it.

Oh and I actually had to look this up because I forgot which one I chose. I ended up picking the renovation of its current building.

Just had to chime in and say YES, SAT has NOTHING to do with your GPA (I got a 1490).

Studying for the LSAT / Re: Freedom of speech

Just to make sure I am reading this correctly, is that last sentence saying that with free speech you can find out about dangerous ideas and therefore force people to keep them secret now that you know them? That seems kind of silly but that is how I interpret what you typed.

:D thanks for the shout-out. i had a chiashu 6% or something, but i'm sure glad i reached. i swear i have no family, friends, or connections at yls, but if people refuse to believe that then that's their prerogative.   ::)

congratulations to everyone else on the thread who reached high...

Lexylit, you're the poster child for this thread :) I don't know why people don't believe you. Your acceptance only encouraged me to shoot higher.
