Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: GW Ding...F them.

You and me both!  I went complete around 1/10, and the decision was made 3/2.  I'm still waiting on Mason, but I'm 80% sure I'll be headed to Pitt.

Hi EraPitt...I'm in Carnegie now.  Are you in Pittsburgh?

Everything I've heard about Pitt is positive, and I'm now negotiating my scholarship.  So, hopefully I'll be able to go there for a lot less $$.

Wow, I didn't realize that this thread would begin a debate on the merits of GW.

I am very disappointed that I wasn't admitted to GWU.  It is a great school in a great part of the country.  But, I'll hopefully graduate with a higher rank from Pitt, and have the same/better prospects after graduation.

As I said before, everything happens for a reason!

Now, kids...stop fighting!

Yeah, I'm jealous of others who got in.  Thought I had a fairly good chance...at least to be waitlisted, but no go.

I think I'm going to go to Pitt now, and come out with about 1/2 of the debt I would have if GW was in my future.

Things have a way of working themselves out.

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / GW..I shouldn't have called...

I called the admissions office today around 3:30, and they said a decision was made on 3/2, and it has been mailed.  Being that GW emails acceptances, it seems as if my fate is sealed...I consider waitlist a ding.  :(

Was just notified that I'll be getting $4500/year in state.  Part of the Law Faculty Scholarship.

Me too...congrats!

Likewise.

I trust Pitt is still in the lead at this point however?

Ummm, yeah.  Still waiting on GW and GMU.  And waiting to sell my house.  Lots of "up in the airs".

Funny read:  "America:  Democracy Inaction" Jon Stewart

--I was cracking up the whole way through that one.

I sat in Urban Outfitters for about 45 minutes (as if it was B&N) and I couldn't put the book down.  Definitely a funny read!

Another Malcolm Gladwell book (written before Blink) is the Tipping Point.  Very interesting!

I'm sick of waiting, so I'd like to know the probability of hearing on a certain day of the week.  Seems that Tuesday and Thursday are common on the LSD board...

Neurotic, I know.
