It's going to be rough to pay for that...through my company, I only have to pay like $6 per month.  I was researching comprehensive health insurance, and it's going to cost me like $7200 for 3 years...add that onto the debt...

That is some serious damage.  You might want to do some research on the new Health Savings Accounts.  If you stay healthy and can live with a high-deductible plan, you can shelter some serious bones from tax.

Also, do you know about COBRA?  You can keep your current health coverage through your company for 18 months after you quit, but you have to pay the full cost of the insurance.  There is a good chance, though, that the company is going to be getting a sweet rate.  It doesn't make sense for everyone, but it is something to investigate.

muy bien mi amigo....that's great advice.  I'm actually looking around...but it is going to be a HUGE

Where should I go next fall? / How far down?

I want to go to a school that is very challenging but not utterly cut-throat (in terms of student-student competition)...How far do you have to go down from the top to achieve this?

Studying for the LSAT / Re: Kaplan LSAT classes
« on: December 06, 2004, 08:09:24 PM »
I don't see how you could "cram" for that test in 2 months, if you never did any of that type of work in college, such as the games.  Unless you study from morning to night.  Even at that, you can only remember so much.

Well, I did it (not sure how successfully).  I was an Elementary Ed major in college, a Pharmaceutical Rep now...decided to finally take the leap that I'd been meaning to take in late September.  Started Kaplan Oct 18...and took the test on Sat.  I only took one philosophy class in college (moral reasoning) and worked full time while studying.  (sorry for the resume)

My final practice test score was a net increase of 10 points over my diagnostic score...so I'm hoping for the same or better when I get the official score in Jan.

long story short...it is doable if driven enough.

If you were my Kaplan instructor, I wouldn't think twice before signing up.
