Tuition increase of 6% was approved on Friday of last week. That's about what I expected....could have been worse.
See you all in the fall!

Hi future Duquesne Students! I found an apartment with one of my (soon to be former) co-workers. She has a 3 BR 1 B apartment in Squirrel Hill (right off of shady ave...by bus stops). I saw it on Saturday, and it's great! Hardwood floors, lots of storage, off-street parking (driveway and 1-car garage), and a huge basement with w&d hook-ups. (I'll be bringing the w&d). Between the 2 of us, it will be fully furnished, minus the 3rd bedroom. It's in the top floor of an old tudor house, so there won't be foot traffic noise from above. She won't be around too much, because she's a busy pharmaceutical rep, and I'll be a 1L, 'nuff said. So, it will be a quiet environment. The rent will be $400 plus utilities...and the cable (wireless) internet will be paid for by my former company.
Send me a message if you're interested.

I like it. Got a good deal on a refurbished one at a Sony outlet. 3-yr protection plan was only 99.99. It's 4 pounds and the display is great.

There are so few good ones.
Here are a few of mine.
1. The Sonic commercial where the guy thinks that the beginning of the word is not silent....w-rench... 2. The FedEx commercial where the guy goes, "you are always wrong." Fringe benefits, not french, Steely dan not one guy...

I currently go to the gym 3-4 times per week, two of which I teach Spinning classes. I'm thinking of continuing to teach, but changing from 6:30 pm to 6:00 am classes. Then, maybe working out the other times in the morning as well. I think being physically active is going to be so important to my sanity; taking out the stress of LS on the treadmill or spinner will feel great.
What are everyone's plans for continuing to stay/beginning to be physically fit while in LS?

Yeah, I'm jealous of others who got in. Thought I had a fairly good chance...at least to be waitlisted, but no go.
I think I'm going to go to Pitt now, and come out with about 1/2 of the debt I would have if GW was in my future.
Things have a way of working themselves out.

I called the admissions office today around 3:30, and they said a decision was made on 3/2, and it has been mailed. Being that GW emails acceptances, it seems as if my fate is sealed...I consider waitlist a ding.
