thanks for the info. Since i'm taking out a loan and i got a good aid deal, i feel that for living i might as well splurge a little. Trying to live as close to the heart of things as possible. I'm coming from nyc and i really just need a place where i can find coffee at 4 in the morning (I have pretty much come to facts with the realization i a will not find chinese food at 4 a.m. any place else than nyc).
I was looking around and i found some moderate prices in the kenwood square area. How is that neighborhood?

just reading through the housing packet they sent out and I think i have narrowed it down to 4 areas i am thinking about. Any info on these neighborhoods:

-Beacon Hill
-North End
-South End
-Somerville

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Brooklyn or Northeastern?

Broolyn Law is in an fantastic location of not just brooklyn but the whole nyc. I checked out brooklyn a couple of weeks ago and then stayed in the area and hit the bars that night. It is definitely a great place to live. It is only about 10-15 minutes from downtown manhattan on the subway. In the Brooklyn heights area you have all the comforts of the city and save a little bit of extra money for drinks living in Brooklyn than expensive Manhattan . My cousin who is a lawyer and graduated from Columbia prefers the area to uptown manhattan where he lived during law school and the downtown area where he lived when he graduated and started getting paid. Another cool thing about that area in Brooklyn was that most of the locals weren't looking to be assholes to out of towners. Being from Queens and having been to Brooklyn frequently I was suprised at how cool the Heights has become.
     
     Anyone else hear about the Brooklyn teachers' aide that was selling test to students? Just wondering if that was a nasty rumour or not. If it's true i hopr it does not mess with their ranking.

       I'm also looking at both these schools. Anyone know how the public transportation is around Northeastern and Boston in general (gonna need some  way to get to the co-ops without a car).

Applying online throug lsac. Can LORs be faxed to them? If not if the letters get out in the mail by wednesday do you think i can get my apps in by the Feb. 15th deadline

Law School Applications / Is deadline received by or Postmarked by

Applying to NYU and Brooklyn Law, both apps are due Feb. 1. Need to know if the deadline is postmarked date, or the date the school should have it by. It's after 5 and their offices are closed need to find out tonight.

Law School Applications / Change of Major: Bad freshman year but big improvements

Here is what i am hoping is a promising situation.
MY UGPA is 2.4. But after my freshman year when i finally gave up on the pre-med realm, my gpa has been a steady 3.3 With a 3.7 in my major (political science). My LSAT score is 165 and I have been president of a large active club since my sophmore year ( if that helps any).
  Is there any chance of me getting into any reputable schools. I am currently looking at Fordham, Brooklyn Law, Pace, Temple, Villanova, UPITT, BU, BC, New England Law, Cardoza, NEw York Law, American, and Syracuse.
  Anyone have any ideas?

I couldn't sleep either. My ambien, 1 beer, and nyquill cocktail did not help. I went to bed around 2 and got up at 5:30. But luckily my new addiction to cigarettes coupled with coffee and andrenaline kept me alert.
