Different test takers had different experimental sections. The real games section had the question about the 4 tapes with jazz, hip-hop, folk, or rock on them and the game about the committees with three people each. I had two readings so I assume for those of you who had only one reading section it was the one about the traits in animals derived from extinct causes... the antelope question?

Where should I go next fall? / Part-time law?
« on: May 08, 2005, 11:47:28 PM »
Going to a part-time law program has what effect, if any, on your career prospects as a lawyer? Is it easier to get into a PT program? I'm thinking about earning some $$$$$ while in law school but don't see how as a full-timer.

Law School Applications / College GPA question
« on: May 07, 2005, 07:36:34 PM »
Do law schools overlook a bad grade on a transcript if you retake the course and get an A in it, or do they not care? I thought I dropped a course this semester, but I guess I did it wrong because I got an F in it. >:( The worst part about it was that it was a keyboarding class :'( I'll probably retake it so my GPA won't suffer, but I was wondering how badly law schools will view the F if I retake the course.

Studying for the LSAT / Re: Current Scores for those thinking of June?
« on: March 21, 2005, 03:41:01 AM »
I took the LSAT last October and got a 162 after averaging around a 168 or so. My last 5 practice tests before the real deal scored 170 x2, 169, 171, 172. Goddamn I was pissed. We'll see how this one goes.

Word to the wise... don't rush through it!

General Off-Topic Board / Would you give up law school for...
« on: December 13, 2004, 03:04:47 AM »
...the chance to go to grad school at Oxford or Cambridge? I was watching a James Bond movie when I thought of how cool it would be to go to Cambridge to get a PhD in genetics (my major). Do you think it would be easier to get into Cambridge than it would to get into, say Harvard? I'll probably still go to law school, but it is worth bouncing around ideas.

Where should I go next fall? / Choose my schools
« on: December 01, 2004, 03:15:46 AM »
Hey,

I have a 3.6 at a state school in a genetics/political science double major. I have good WE and a 162 on the LSAT. I have no idea where I should apply for either this year or next year... I've been looking at Vandy and Emory, but my numbers prolly aren't high enough. So... where do you guys think I should apply? I need a few suggestions, and geography makes no difference to me whatsoever.
