What does everyone think about light colored ties... pink, yellow, light blue, ect. I can't wear the plain old red or blue tie with the stripes or swirly designs. Am I unprofessional?

From what I gather, when schools apply for accreditation, they must qualify and then remain provisionally accredited for at least 3 years and (except for rare extensions) no more than 5 years. Maybe WSU didn't apply until recently, or maybe they have lost accreditation in the past?
