Acceptances / Re: Vandy $$$$
« on: March 14, 2006, 08:50:56 AM »
I didn't submit my need access to vandy. I actually sent a letter of WL via snail mail.. but I guess it didn't get there before this was sent? Letter dated March 3rd, I get $18,000*3 = 54,000, a dean's scholarship, not that it matters since I've WLed..

So I called the admissions office today...

They told me that, yes, only people with their Need Access applications complete early have been considered for scholarships so far-- and that includes both need-based and merit based scholarships.  Apparently, they're reviewing acceptees again for scholarships, and round one is now complete, with more rounds to come.  Unfortunately, I'd imagine the amount of money the school has to dole out lessens each round...

1) Not taking the June LSAT. me too!
2) Having a heart, which resulted in sleeping 4 hours the night before the LSAT. 2 hours for me.  :'(
3) Not retaking the LSAT. yes, that too. a girl I knew retook her 170 and got 175 - not that I could pull that off  :D
4) Getting sick the week before the LSAT (still was sick like a hamster on the day)
5) Applying to too many schools that I didn't even have much intentions to go to.. wasted app. fees. arg.

I've woken up in a cold sweat three or four times since January.  My total for the rest of my life before January was either one or two.

so you don't know where you are going yeT?

QUESTION FOR DORIAN:

Is it normal to gain weight first? It seems that I gained weight instead of lost some...after all this exercising!

Will I eventually lose the weight?

yes it's normal. because if you are doing some weight lifting, you gain muscle mass. and muscle mass weighs more than fat. in time, you will eventually lose weight. keep your attenion on sizes of the clothes. i measure myself every morning(just the waist). the weight def. fluctuates, moreso for us girls.

Yeah, I've pretty much decided on doing the contiki route now.  I'm gonna do Road to Athens in May.  Anyone else!  Wooooo LSD group! :D

Lol, I'm in...i want a tour that has england, france and italy on it.

greece would be cool...

Indeed.  Greece is near the top of my list, which is why I'm almost certain I'm going to do the ROAD TO ATHENS tour.

dave, how do you book this in u.s.? are there agencies? Korean branch offices charge a lot more, so I am thinking about doing it when I go to the states next week.
