I kept putting ass in for ****.  The last couple didn't work.   :P

Mugatu just gave me flashbacks to one of the best 80s/early 90s forms of childhood entertainment: Remember Mad Libs?

oh yeah.  they always went like that.

Try f***, and then dumb and then puke. (at least that’s what I was thinking when I typed it).

It's funnier if you keep with ass.

the whole thing made me laugh out loud at work.

did ya all meet up?

General Off-Topic Board / Re: Where to buy female business suits?

you can buy the three piece of a jacket, pants, and skirt. =)

i've seen a few threads about buying a suit for law school... are you suposed to dress nicely for class or something or are we talking more about interviews for jobs? personally i like to wear pajamas to class!  :P so i hope the answer is no

I've heard of my friend in law school wearing PJs (I am thinking tshirts and drawstring pants) to classes.

professional attire is probably only for job interview and other job related purposes.

and also for mock trial and such.

btw how does everyone feel about pant-suit versus skirt-suit? someone told me recently that some older firms/companies prefer that women interview in skirt-suits because it's the old fashioned way but that once they start working then pants are fine.

What do you want to get out of school?  What do you want to do after school?

yeah those questions should matter a lot when you make your decision. if you want to do PI work, lesser debt load would be preferable. I can be utterly wrong in my assertion, but wouldn't boston provide more opportunities in those PI fields during law school (volunteer work, and so forth)?

If you are looking for a big firm job, Cornell would be a safer bet. Someone in the middle of the class pool at Cornell will have better exit opportunities than the one @BU.

nonetheless, you can take a risk and go to BU and excel there (law review, top 10% of  the class, etc) and there will be a lot of opportunities upon graduation.

hope this helped.

I kinda like tenn/vandy combination.. sounds smooth~

I didn't really get to choose my undergrad school; if it were up to me, I would have gone to Georgetown.  But alas, I'm poor, and was forced to go to my state school for free.

Tennessee/Cornell OR
Tennessee/Vanderbilt

Perhaps the first says I am a poor southern boy going on to bigger things on a national level (maybe somewhat like Willy Clinton?), while the second, combined with my pretentious major (Ancient Mediterranean Literature, History, and Archaeology), perhaps says I am wannabe old southern money (think Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil)?

Minority Topics / Re: Do Black People hate Koreans??
« on: March 14, 2006, 09:46:58 AM »
I heard that black guys are really popular in Japan.. (heard it from a friend stationed in Japan as USMC)

Here is an interesting story related to this top:

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/steelers/2006-02-09-ward-korea-buzz_x.htm

It not only Koreans that have a severe problem with discrimination against blacks, Ive heard stories of blacks being  call devilspawn in Japan and being physically attacked.

While I do not doubt this, a couple of my friends have had pleasant experiences visiting Japan. They said they were treated like b-list celebrities, and in some cases like unicorns. Sure, they were only welcome superficially, but they never encountered any violence or hostility. If nothing else, I can live with that--as a tourist.
