Public bathrooms get the paper towel treatment. Another trick I learned is wait until someone else opens the door and just run through.

We're all starting to sound like Howard Hughes now. . .

I personally do the USDA/ServSafe wash every time I wash my hands. That inspector training only made more paranoid!

Scurvy - it's nice to have a clean house. I'm always looking at the home decorating shows on TV and desperately want my house to look like that, down to the spotless floors, counters, etc.

My house could easily be on one of those shows. I've been accused of being like Martha Stewart mor than once. . .

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and my head is spinning with things I want to post on LSD in the morning.

That is insanity.

Of course, if you notice my first time stamp in this thread, you'll see I was doing the same thing! I couldn't sleep because I was freaking out about my LS budget.  :-X

Not surprised really. I wish him, his family, and co-stars the best. But seriously, am I the only person who didn't think his show was that funny?  I could never really get into his show :-\

Yeah, I couldn't get in to it. Sorry.  :-\

You people probably never want to see my apartment

Probably not. My best friend in college was (to me) repulsively dirty. I would never go into her room or use her bathroom. I would stand in her doorway and go no further. I didn't care if I stood for hours, I was NOT going in! However, I did sneak in and clean her room and refrigerator a couple of times during the course of our friendship. It nearly killed me, but I felt so much better about it.

On another note, don't you hate in when people you consider dirty borrow your pens, use your keyboard, touch your phone, etc? Yuck. Talk about spreading germs!

Well, I just found out from the financial aid office that we're definitely getting the laptop allotment as a lump sum first semesters. So that's $1075 taken care of. Now just to manage the other $900. . . Whew!

Thanks everyone for the kind words and sharing stories. It REALLY helped.

I obsess about budgets and bills. (Sometimes, the obsession does me absolutely no good.) I also constantly think about cleanliness. Every day I think, should I scrub the bathroom today? It's been a day. I've gotten it under control though, even though I think about scrubbing the house with bleach every day, I only do it 1-2x a week. However, whenever I have a guest over, I can barely wait 'til they're out the door to start santizing after them. This is a problem/weird since I love having people over!  ???  ::)  :-[

Incoming 1Ls / Budget Miscalculation

Between moving to another state and everything else, I lost sight of my budget and I'm about $2000 over for 1st semester. How can I reconcile this? The amount that I'm over basically equates to living expenses and I could technically have my husband cover me--but I'm still over budget!  :-[

I know that I have to ask my husband to help, but I'm still beating myself up over this. (Typically I'm incredibly financially responsible and budgeted to the hilt.) So on top of panicking about law school, now I'm panicking about money.  :'(

So, what I need is either: I'm so sorry, I did the same thing (or similar). Or here's how you can fix it. No bashing please. I'm already doing enough of that to myself.

EDIT: I figured out how it happened. 1st semester expenses are more expensive than 2nd semester. So I have excess 2nd semester because I calculated annually instead of on 2 semester installments. Doesn't change the fact that I have no cash!

I saw Wedding Crashers with my mom. She laughed at line about "playing a little game of  'c'mon just the tip'" just as hard as I did.

i almost snorted sprite through my nose on that one. it was great.

That opening sequence with the mediation/arbitration was priceless. I could watch that over and over and over!
