Black Law Student Discussion Board / Re: I think I hate...

CIVIL PROCEDURE GRRRRRRRRRRRRR  >:(

I think I love Contracts though :)

What class do you think you're going to hate? like?

I HATE Civil Procedure. It makes no freakin' sense. Today was the worst day yet. I felt completely defeated. :( And more tomorrow. Yay fun.

I love Torts and Contracts though. They make sense to me. But for Civ Pro, I swear, it might as well be written in Chinese or Sanskrit. . .

Okay, now I think I'm really liking CivPro. It makes sense because there are hardfast rules. You'd think the same about contracts. . . unfortunately my prof wouldn't agree. He's really into the philosophy which makes Contracts even more nebulous and uncertain than torts! I never thought that would happen.

Just checking in. . .

Is this movie based off of a Stephen King novel? If so which one? I could have sworn it was, but when I looked it upon IMDB, it said no such thing.

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Re: LSD people are REAL!

Yep, I was noticed by an LSD lurker at orientation yesterday. She seemed a little embarassed to say my screenname. It was funny.

Overall, I'm glad I have been active on LSD. It's made the process of actually starting law school a bit easier. I had someone to look for on the first day of orientation and a bond to build from. It was pretty nice. Even people who I didn't necessarily like online have turned out to be pretty neat in person.

Angels and Demons is better.

I disagree. I think there are a lot of extraneous things happening in Angels and Demons but not in the DaVinci code.

Foucault's Pendulum was better, but not an easy read. Rule of Four was a fun read and nicely tied in. The Eight didn't do it for me at all. I think I've read at least 10 books on this "theory" recently.

I'm on to Dante theories now. If you like the DaVinci Code, you'll also like The Dante Club. It's hard to get in to, but once you do, it's very worth it.

« on: August 15, 2005, 07:30:11 PM »
most of what i listen to comes from bands like these:  alice in chains, mad season, soundgarden, gnr, hendrix, temple of the dog, metallica, led zep, audioslave, black label society, rage against the machine, a perfect circle, mudvayne, social distortion, stone temple pilots.

beyond that:

i like afi, taking back sunday, and thursday for emo-ish *&^%, and jack johnson, dispatch, mason jennings, and john mayer(i HATE that wonderland song, but his any given thursday live cd is good stuff) for more mellow stuff.  i dont listen to rap or hiphop, but ill listen to pretty much anything else.

You like Dispatch? I love them! I brought Dispatch to play at my Halloween party in college. It's great to see that other people have discovered them as well.

Just dont tell my heart, my ache breaky heart.  I just dont think he'd understand.  And if you tell my heart, my ache breaky heart it might blow and kill this fan.

its man not fan
'And if you tell my heart, my ache breaky heart it might blow and kill this man.'

This is what you revived the thread for? LOL!

My vote goes for either Samantha Fox's "Touch Me" or Devinyls' "I Touch Myself"

I know some ppl are starting today... anyone in class?

me, next week.

you'll have class next week? T you've always had class 8)

Good one.

I have orientation tomorrow and classes start next week. I think I'll be too nervous to post from class. I should also mention that one of my profs doesn't allow computers in his classroom at all--there will definitely be no posting from there!

Did you buy the 20GB yet?

Buy the 20GB and make some good playlists. I swear, "What's on your iPod?" is going to be the biggest new pickup line of the 00's.  ;D
