Saved By the Bell - Back In Production!
04/19/2006

Adult Swim has done it again! Following hot on the heels of Fox's Family Guy, Saved By The Bell has been pulled from cancellation with an order for 30 all new episodes taking place at Bayside High.

"We were ecstatic when we saw the early numbers on Saved By the Bell on Adult Swim," said Matt Laster, the VP of Turner Entertainment's newly created 80's Reclamation Department. "We knew this had the potential to be big, but we never thought it would be this big. The fans have really shown their support and come out in droves on the adultswim.com website."

According to Laster, the new series is still in development but he did say that almost all of the original cast would be returning, minus "Showgirls" star Elizabeth Berkley. The series will follow the events after Saved By the Bell: The New Class and find Screech as the new principal of Bayside and a retired Mr. Belding as the proprietor of the Max, the hangout that the Saved By the Bell gang frequented. Screech is overwhelmed by the new group of students and puts out a call for help, and soon, all of the old regulars are back at Bayside. Laster would not elaborate on the status of Zack and Kelly's relationship, though the couple were last seen walking down the aisle.

"I've spoken to the crew and they really can't wait to get back together," said Laster. "We think this will be a fun and exciting new direction for Adult Swim and we can't wait to find even more great 80's comedies for Adult Swim."

Multiple Man

Madrox's power is the ability to create duplicates of himself at will through an unknown process whenever he is struck or even when he snaps his fingers or stamps his foot. Each of the duplicates is completely capable of independent thought and can create duplicates of himself. The original Madrox can absorb them back into himself at will, at the same time absorbing the memories, skills and experiences of the duplicate. The dupe usually appears to his side or often near a focused area, such as a finger.

During his time with X-Factor, the number of duplicates was probably around 40, but has grown far larger since then. Duplicates have independent minds from the original, but are usually willing to merge back because their memories and knowledge are retained. However, there have been exceptions where duplicates have wished for independence completely. A duplicate that is "the part of you that can't be trusted" has announced that he plans to keep popping out.

Madrox also uses merging with his duplicates as a form of healing. Originally, uninjured dupes "shared" the damage when they merged, e.g., if an injured Madrox merged with an uninjured Madrox, the resulting Madrox had an injury half as severe as the original injury. Now, however, the core Madrox can reabsorb injured or even near-dead dupes without taking on any of their physical injuries at all, although the memories of traumatic experiences still affect him.

As a consequence of splitting into multiple selves, Jamie has accumulated a vast wealth of knowledge and experience, along with some confusion over which Jamie did what. For example, although he says his duplicates have had active sex lives, he is not sure whether the main Jamie ever has. Because of the infinite nature of his powers, he potentially can be attracted to every kind of person there is. One or two of his duplicates have already been shown to be gay or bisexual.

Specific special skills accumulated through his vast experience include picking locks. Along the way, he and/or duplicates participated in an Olympics gymnastics team and apparently became a licensed attorney.

General Off-Topic Board / What if you found a ring worth 5 G's?

What if it belonged to one of your coworkers? What do you do?

Now you are not friends with this coworker . . . you are not enemies either. But she's always flashing her wedding ring around and bragging. What would you do?

Honest answers please.

Because as a 15 yr old I liked Magneto.  So online I always go by magnus (the 91 means nothing, everysite I join already has a Magnus, so I forced to differientiate myself with the 91).

Cool, Magneto probably has the best powers.

Little tidbit for others not familiar with X-Men . . . . Professor X represented Martin Luther King Jr. and Magneto represented Malcolm X.

really?  where did you find that out?  i'm curious

btw, i would so date that chick who could change shapes.  hot damn!

Mystique?

Haha . . . that would be dope but she's a demon. She had a child with satan . . . . and that child is Nightcrawler. Oddly enough, Nightcrawler is very involved in the church. I think he is seeking repentance for his upbringings. Its kind of messed up because Nightcrawler tries to do right but regardless he's destined for hell.

i thought she was just a mutant like anyone else.

is nightcrawler the guy who disappears and then reappears?  anyways, he doesnt need to repent for his parents, god never held that against anyone.

Doesnt the sins of the father go to the son?

According to whom?

The bible.

Magneto's Powers and abilities

Magneto is now powerless, following the events of House of M. He is now one of the normal Homo sapiens. The description of his powers below is prior to the House of M timeline.

Arguably the most powerful man on the planet, Magneto is a mutant with the superhuman power of magnetokinesis. He can shape and manipulate magnetic fields that exist naturally or artificially. Magneto can thus lift, move, and manipulate objects (sometimes weighing many thousands of tons), and manipulate bloodflow to others' brains to cause aneurysms or unconsciousness. He can absorb and redirect electricity, control ferrous particles in the atmosphere, even the very air, alter the Earth's magnetic field which extends into space as the Magnetosphere, increase his own strength to the extent of being able to exchange blows with at least Colossus, fly in or beyond the Earth's atmosphere, and achieve an indefinite range of other effects.

With the primal forces of nature at his command, Magneto has stopped armies, moved mountains, and threatened to devastate the world with apocalyptic floods and earthquakes. Magneto once blanketed the entire globe with a self-generated electromagnetic pulse that caused widespread devastation. It is unclear, however, whether he must draw magnetic force from outside himself (if so, then he can do so over vast distances). It could also be that he can both naturally generate and draw on the earth's magnetic field to increase his power, effectively making him both a reservoir and a conduit.

Although Magneto's primary power is magnetism, he seems to have some ability to project or manipulate any form of energy that is related to magnetism, or the entire electro-magnetic spectrum. He can open wormholes through space, create almost impenetrable force fields, and become invisible by deflecting visible light around his body. He can fire bolts of electricity and of pure magnetic force and can create enough intense heat to destroy a metal door, as he is able to manipulate the entire electromagnetic spectrum. (He has also dispersed a "flame cage" created by the original Human Torch, but whether he had simply expanded his personal force field or employed something else entirely is unclear.) He can also reverse lasers, electricity, and other forms of radiation or energy when fired at him. In addition, he can create anti-gravity fields and does so whenever he levitates non-magnetic objects. However, Magneto tends to use magnetism.

Magneto also possesses some psychic abilities, such as the ability to create a psychic shield for protection against psionic attack. At times he has read minds, astral projected and, aided by a device of his creation, controlled minds. (Note: He has controlled minds without the device, but only through manipulating the iron in blood and redirecting its flows through the brain) Charles Xavier refered to Magneto's "latent telepathy" and used Magneto's help to break past the mental shields of Galactus. It should also be noted that initially their attempts were futile until Magneto became enraged that Galactus might ignore them so, and thus created a "surge" as Xavier put it, making Galactus take note of them.

Magneto's ability to wield his superhuman powers effectively is dependent upon his physical condition. When severely injured, his body is unable to withstand the strain of manipulating great amounts of magnetic forces. When his powers are not at their peak, he appears to have greater difficulty controlling forces other than magnetism.

Magneto's suit is made of flexible metal bonded on the molecular level, providing protection against projectiles, energy weapons, and concussive force. His helmet, which is built out of the same metal as Charles Xaviers "Cerebro", allows him to keep telepathic attack from harming him and also shields his mind from "Cerebro".

Magneto is an expert on genetic manipulation and engineering with knowledge far beyond that of contemporary science. He is considered to be a genius within various scientific fields. He has the technology to mutate humans in order to give them superhuman powers or create adult clones of human beings and then manipulate the genetic structures of these clones during their development. He has created artificial living beings, designed magnetically-powered skycraft and spacecraft, complex robots and computers and magnetically-powered generators.

Magneto is a skilled strategist and has more than a rudimentary knowledge of hand-to-hand combat.

From watching the X-Men cartoons on Fox I pretty much figured it out (Especially that episode where Xavier and Magneto bond together on some Island). But here's a from Wikipedia quote:

"Magneto (alias Erik Magnus Lehnsherr) is a mutant in the Marvel Comics universe. He has at various times been a supervillain, a superhero, and an anti-hero and in his role as a villain - arguably his most famous role, though not his most complex - he is the primary antagonist of the X-Men. He was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, though it was writer Chris Claremont who would later flesh out and develop the character into the one he is today.

Just as Professor X was inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr., it is possible that Magneto could have been inspired by Malcolm X."
