I was above the medians at one of the schools and another one was right at the median.. Another was pretty split..  I have just compared my results to others, with lower numbers, on LSNs.

At this point, I don't know if a criminal record hurts or not... I just know that I have been waitlisted at schools that I thought I was a shoo-in...  Maybe it is just the southern, conservative part of the country, but I think it does affect your chances..  Yours doesn't sound like the record I have, so it may be fine.

I have a DUI, MIP, Disturbing the Peace, and Littering.. They happened approx. 4 years ago.  I was truthful and told them this was about the time that I found out my father was dying.  I had never been in trouble with the law before that period and haven't since...

Hope this helps

Incoming 1Ls / Re: Are you working before law school?

Plan A:

Well it really depends on whether I get into my first choice.  It is a part time program and I wouldn't have to move or anything. I would keep my current job as a network admin and go to school at night.  But it is still a long shot...

Plan B:

Work long enough to save money to afford a storage place for the majority of my stuff, find a new place half way across the country, and move.  I would guess I would work until mid to late July.

Well it is up, but you cannot log into your account to update information...  So I can't see if anyone has gotten into a certain school in the last few days :(

From  LOL!  I keep checking it a hundred times a day and it is down.  I just need to catch a glance at any new Accepts/Rejects/Waitlists..

It is bad enough waiting for the mailman!

Law School Admissions / Another chances question
« on: March 14, 2004, 12:45:01 PM »
Hey everyone,

I think I just need some reassurance for my chances of attending Mississippi College. It is the one I am really betting on.

My Stats:
LSAT:  149 - They take the highest
GPA:   3.07

Mississippi College Stats (2003)
Median LSAT:  150
Median GPA:   3.13

I see that they accepted one student that was 148/3.17.
