General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Re: Baylor Housing
« on: April 19, 2005, 02:32:24 PM »
Anyone know of any good apartments in Waco that would be ideal for law students?  I am going to be in Waco this thursday and friday to look for apartments. I start at Baylor law on May 9th and would like to get an idea of some apartment complexes I should go visit.  Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

ditto

Sorry I took so long replying - they offered me $9,000 a year (that was w/o me applying for any type of scholarship - aid or academic based), with the possibility of applying for more.  Hope that helps!

Congrats!!  See you when you get there, I'm starting in August.  What are you doing until then?

Hey - Congrats to you too!  I am graduating from Wake Forest in May and then probably moving to San Antonio for 6 months.  One of my best friends is starting med school there and I have been offered a job translating somewhere in the bowels of the criminal justice system. So I plan on living with her until January and then moving to Waco!

Is Baylor your first choice>?  have you visited?  I went last Christmas and sat in on classes, etc and everyone there seemed really friendly.  A little worried about the supposed "competiveness" factor and the intense conservatism but other than that, I really loved it and felt comfortable there.

St Mary's has sent me numerous packages and info, but my favorite was the hand-written Christmas card from the office of admissions.  Feeling bad about turning them down  :'(

Congrats! Got in last week. Did you get the email today inviting you to visit some upper division classes? I think I might go to the Feb 28th one.

Thanks!  Yeah, I did get that email... and also an invite to an admitted students discussion board.  Unfortunatly, I go to school in North Carolina so I can't make any of the visiting days until this summer.  Is UH your first choice?

Congrats. Are you in-state?

Thanks!
I am a Texas resident but I currently am finishing up school in North Carolina.
