I am living in a tiny complex called Ivy Place located on the block of S 8th and Ivy. Its only 6 little apartments and supposedly everyone is in a grad program so there shouldnt be any frat brothers throwing up on my doorstep (hopefully).

I move in about a month. My grandparents live in Waco so I am pretty familiar with the town - its not too bad - atleast not as bad as people make it out to be! 4

Isnt it gorgeous? My grandparents actually live in Waco so I've spent quite a bit of time there - summers and all that - not a bunch to do but I suppose that means not many distractions from studying.

I actually already have an apartment nailed down - I am going to live alone for atleast my first two quarters just to get used to the whole lifestyle change before I subject another person to all my quirks.

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Re: Bears to Be... Waco Here We Come« on: June 23, 2005, 02:50:10 PM »Hey everyone. I just got my Baylor law t-shirt in the mail last week. It's an XL so I stuck it in the dryer for 2 hours trying to make it shrink...it didn't. This is the only time where major shrinkage would be a good thing Hey, whats up with the free tshirt? Baylor is sending me absolutly no love - not even XL pre-shrunk love.

I am looking for a place as well, moving up there as late as possible in august, probably not until the 15th or later. I want close and cheap as hell, I will only be there Mon-Thurs and the rest of the time in Austin. Any suggestions The Bear Grounds II (right next to The Place and shares a leasing office) is MEGA CHEAP - and they offer free internet. I looked at it yesterday and am not going to end up renting there but I have talked to a current girl who lives there and has no complaints. Its a little shabby but you cant beat the price (like $325 for a one bedroom) especially if you only plan on living there 4 days a week. River Crest is also pretty cheap and close to campus - and definitly a lot nicer w/ a pool, ect. |
