Incoming 1Ls / Re: Moving to Texas? Info for Car & License
« on: July 25, 2005, 04:26:09 PM »
I am most def. staying in Texas we have family, friends, etc. here and wouldn't be caught dead moving back to ohio. I think i'd move out of the country before I left Texas so not transfering my titles would just be delaying the inevitable. I also have my fiance (soon-to-be wife, July 30th) with me who will be working full time and not a student.

Thanks that's some great info. I know I'm switching two cars over soon and it will be nice to have this post at hand when I do.

Well I'd say 60% of my boxes are packed and all the bridal shower gifts are consolidated for the move!

Anyone else get that packet about orientation? I just got mine today, its weird that they're having it in the Business Building instead!

It's going to be nice and hot the first few weeks biking into classes. I'll definately come in looking like a drowned dog. HAHA!

Y'all, I've just aged 10 years in 3 weeks. With the wedding and moving plans, I'm looking to law school as a way for me to return to sanity.

Hopefully, soon this madness will be over!

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Tulsa or St. Mary's?

I'd like to weigh in on your idea of St. Mary's. The University is in a bad area of San Antonio, BUT the law school and universities facilities are really nice, its kind of like a fancy university in the middle of the hispanic ghetto.

Ok, to all the other Section 1 people on this thread, Have you noticed that those of you that have Bard for Torts 1 like me will have to read Getting to Maybe? That is pretty cool!

Maybe that's a clue that she actually wants us to do well!!! I'm such a nerd, I'm so excited about ordering law school books. I need a life all I'm doing is planning last minute wedding details and obsessing about moving to Lubbock on the 5th of august.

In other news, I got a quote on a moving company around here and its actually only $200 more to have a moving company move me than it is to rent a uhaul and drive myself! So needless to say, I'm not driving a uhaul down there!

I went to that website and registered for the 14th? that's a sunday I came to find out and the sheet says the dates are the 15th, 16th, and 20th, WTF? the dates on the website say the 14th 15th and 16th. haha, who knows!

I finally finished my loans by web today after procrastinating, who did everyone use, I finally decided on THE Northstar, their deal was just too good.

I'm really heavily considering the Dell Inspiron 6000, BUT since I'm a road cyclist, I got a advertisement from the Lance Armstrong Foundation about the HP L2000 Lance Armstrong Live Strong edition notebook that is very comparable and well equipt. It's fairly cheap as well. I'm stuck on which to order, I have reservations on the HP only because of the HP / Compaq reputation. I'm just not sure which way to go but I better order soon!

Law School Admissions / Re: Do highschool grades matter?
« on: July 04, 2005, 09:17:57 PM »
Texas Tech might do it, but no decent school does.

I don't know what TTU app was filled out because the one I sent it didn't say a word about highschool or SAT / ACT, HAHA!

Another sweet morsel of misinformation!
