I would say get the certificate because you've already paid-you'll never know if you don't go for it.

Columbia dinged my bell too.  Though I still have no idea where in the country I'll end up, I know I will not be in NYC.

Wow everybody, I am out of the office one day and I miss all this great information. Thank you to everyone who took the time to reply and add to this spirited debate. I really think that this board has been an incredible help throughout this entire process. Cheers.

Yah, that's just it- if I could go to USC without the debt it would be a no-brainer, but Illinois and WUSTL are both good schools where I could come out with minimal debt. There are a lot of firms that have offices in both Chicago and LA or St. Louis and Phoenix etc. so I think it would be possible to work in the midwest office for a few years then ask for a transfer to my home out west.  I think I need to look into that more.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: anyone out there plan to COMMUTE??
« on: February 28, 2005, 03:29:32 PM »
If I go to USC I'll be living in Long Beach and will be looking about about a 45 min commute to school.  Would like to live on campus, but have a roommate lined up down there and like the idea of being walking distance from the the beach.
