For what it's worth-I was a varsity athlete for the a baseball team ranked #1 in the country while I was in college, directed the University's diversity week, started a major service program and was president of my dorm. I had a 3.58/166 and was shut out of T14 but accepted pretty much everywhere else with money. I figured before the process began that my ECs were incredible and I would get in anywhere wiht a 95% LSAT and my pedigree. Now that it's over- I realize that most people have an incredible pedigree whether its military, athlectics, service, publications, etc. I really believe it pretty much comes down to numbers. ECs can't hurt-but everyone has em-not everyone has a 170+ LSAT adn 3.75+ GPA. Just my thoughts now that my law school application journey is over.
Hey Jules, nice to see you again. Yah, I'm going to stay on the waitlist, though now that I'm in UT Austin and have a deposit down at UIUC I hope to hear from them soon.- sorry to hear about UVA, though it was nice to read that GW was #1 at the beginning. Isn't if funny, I remember before I took the test I was hoping for USD and dreaming of USC, then after the test I started thinking maybe I could got better-now that this process is over, looks like the orginal "dream" got there for both of us, even though the next levels didn't come through. Cheers.
