Where exactly is "the hill"?  I have this fear of ending up in the middle of a bunch of undergrads partying all the time while I have to study too much and just keep wishing I was younger!

I just randomly checked the status checker one day.

Thanks for all the reassurance.  I just felt like I was spending a lot of money and time to maybe find out things I already know.  We will see...
Plus I will have to put a deposit down on Colorado before going to Chicago-Kent.

I think I am going to go to both Colorado and Chicago-Kent's admitted students' day/weekend bc I still cannot decide.  Does anyone think this is stupid?  Is anyone doing the same thing?  I am hoping one just feels better or something?!

I just heard today -- waitlisted...maybe the same is waiting for you.  It still puts you in the what if? predicament though

Anyone else?  I think I am going to stay on it, but I am not expecting much!

I'm seriously considering CU mainly bc of its location and it's (barely) in the top 50.  I just visited and the building is not too bad.  One students said she wasn't sure if the building would be done on time, but definitely before I would graduate in '08.  Anyone know anything more about job prospects??

I have narrowed my search down to Colorado and Chicago-Kent.  I still haven't heard from Northwestern or Columbia yet, but I am not holding my breath.  The problem I have is that they are very different schools in very diff. atmospheres!

I like CO bc I could go skiing a lot.  It is (barely) in the First Tier and is the best school in CO. Boulder is awesome too...
I don't really know anyone there though and they are building a new school, but right now the building itself kinda sucks.

Chicago-Kent seems to be heading up.  I like the technology bent and I want to go into IP and it's ranked #13 or #12 or something for that.  They also have an awesome new building.  I also have a lot of friends and potential roommates in Chicago, which is a positive and a negative.

So what does everyone think?

Oh yeah  I have a $10K scholarship to Colorado for the first year and I am expecting some serious $$$ from Chicago-Kent.  I am applying to their Honors Scholars Program and I haven't heard if I got an interview yet.

Money might become the deciding factor.

I got 10K from Colorado for my first year and full-tuition+ at Nebraska (I'm in-state there).  Most of the state schools I applied to offer 10K for incoming students as their highest scholarship, making it full-tuition for the in-staters and cutting it in half for out-of-staters.

10K from Colorado?  Did you already submit your FAFSA?  I was under the impression that CU doesn't hand out scholarships until they receive the student's financial information.  Did you get the scholarship info with the acceptance? Thanks.

I got the letter 2 weeks after I got my acceptance.  I have NOT sent in my FAFSA yet.  I read on their Web site that they didn't had out scholarships til March, but I still got that letter...  It is a merit scholarship, no need involved.
