Wait List / WTF... Chapman and Villanova Waitlist
« on: April 27, 2005, 02:53:04 PM »
Hi all,

I just don't understand how these Adcomms work through apps. I have been waitlisted at both Chapman (Tier 4) and Villanova (tier 2). Chapman was my target school and I was really hoping to get in. My numbers aren't great but WTF, I don't know whether I should be glad I got WL at Villanova or pissed that I got WL at Chapman.

Oh ya, my numbers are 2.81/155 (Bio & Psych).

Need some help. I have the program but I dont have the serial number. Anyone kind enough to PM the serial to me? I would really appreciate it. I want to try to get a hang of this program before I actually start school. I hear its a great way to organize your notes.

Thanks in advance.

Law School Applications / Waitlists Suck
« on: February 16, 2005, 04:11:41 AM »
Hi all,

Haven't posted in a while but here I go with more questions.

just a brief bio: 2.81/155- In at Whittier and Roger Williams($5000 renewable)TTT

I got waitlisted at Chapman and this is one of my top choices because they offer a joint JD/MBA that I am really interested in. I called to see where on the waitlist I was and the lady on the phone told me that there was no priority for people on the list and that everyone that was WL would get their application reviewed again and reconsidered later on on March.

I would like to write them a letter of continued interest but I dont know what to include. In my Personal statement and application I talked mostly about immigration law and public interest. Should I mention to them that I am interested in the JD/MBA? or will this look like I cant make up my mind.

Any advice on how to format and approach a letter of continued interest would be great

Anyone hear anything from southwestern? They requested my report 01/05, just curious to see if anyone has heard anything yet?

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Another empty trip to the mailbox...

The only reply I heard was last week from DePaul telling me to go F&*K myself. I hate making these anxiety inducing trips to the mailbox only to get invitations to apply to schools that I have already applied to. Some of these schools need to keep track of their applicants.

All I want is one acceptance, just so I know that I will be attending a law school in the fall

Law School Applications / LSDAS reports
« on: December 28, 2004, 02:07:20 PM »
Hello everyone,

just a quick question about LSDAS reports; I'm not sure what the report dates mean.
For example, at USF the date the report was requested was 12/14 and the report was received 12/23. All my LORs are in and my status says "First time report". Does this mean that my file is complete with the school or does the school email me about that? Should I contact the schools and ask if they need anything else from me? Also, does anyone know how long (approximately) it takes to get any feedback on app status? I cant stand waiting, I just want one acceptance to any one of my choices so I can relax in knowing that I will be going to law school next year no matter what happens.

I hope this new year is filled with acceptances for us all!

Law School Applications / AM I SCREWED?
« on: December 14, 2004, 03:29:34 AM »
I just sent out my application to USF and I realized I made 2 huge mistakes. First, on my Personal Statement I did not add my social security #, I just left it as it was in my draft (SS#XXX-XX-XXX) Second, and I am ashamed to admit this, the application asks for country code as an abbreviation in a box (i.e United States of America is US. I did not put US, I filled in "1" as my country code which is correct if you are refering to telephone country codes. (I am laughing at myself right now, but I hope this isnt too big of a problem for the school).

Should I call admissions and explain to them what has happend?, or just shut up about it and hope it blows over? My numbers are not strong so I am not a solid applicant to start off.
