I thought I was in... so sad...

Hey, Anner. I'm in your boat, too. I'm in at 4 schools, but 3 of them were safeties and the other one is Georgia. Plus, I applied to 19. Deferred the other day at Minnesota, and unfortunately waitlisted at Wisconsin. No outright rejections yet, but I'm starting to wish I had some. At least UVA and Georgetown could reject me if they're going to, you know? I deserve better!

I would go to any of the schools that have accepted me so far. I grew up in San Diego and I am in love with it, so that's tempting. Of course, UGA is much better ranked and Tulane offered me money and Loyola.... well, Loyola might be at the bottom of my list.

applications are up, but not nearly as much as the number of applicants overall. i hope that translates into some acceptances for me.

Choosing the Right Law School / UC Hastings and American
« on: March 14, 2005, 11:33:12 PM »
Yes, I applied to many of the schools I'm going to mention. That's because they're great deals!

I think UC Hastings and American are much better schools than their ranking indicates. At both there seems to be an emphasis on giving a leg up to the kinds of applicant that are historically marginalized by society. I think that is a major drain on their LSAT/GPA averages. They could be more highly ranked if they wanted to.

Other schools that are better-regarded than their rank would indicate: Wisconsin, Tulane, UC Davis, Emory, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Boston College, Illinois, U Washington.
