sorry phanatic for being so vague, I was a little bit too excited and had a final in 30 mins. But Rutgers Newark. 158, 3.3 just like auburn. Complete 11/08. Got an email to apply for a scholarship for accepted students. Does anyone know much abt the school? Job prospects, strong points etc

RUTGERS!!! . My very first. Email congratulating me on my acceptance. Have not gotten a letter yet. At least I got in somewhere.

sorry another invitation to apply question, or 2. Why would a school you probably dont have a shot at invite you to apply? My scores are below the 25th percentile for the past class. I replied and told them I was not sure I made the cut and gave them my numbers 158/3.3 and Duke goes.. we do not just look at numbers. Should I apply? still hesitant, would be a waste of money and they dont give fee waivers unless you apply or ur Lsat was great!

I have natural hair, don't wear afros too much but its not permed/ straightened in anyway. I have heard the usual, Law school/ being a lawyer w/ natural hair .. no way. Its unprofessional, and too "militant" looking, I won't get any good jobs and even the process in school might be hard dealing with other people. I just wanted to hear opinions young blk ppl. Do you guys think its that crucial? Why or Why not?

Newbie here. Zya- short for a 9 letter first name. Lurked around for a while before posting.
I feel I might be the only African Person here,
I might be the only one from texas,
I might be the only one with a 158 that is not really complaining abt it and has no intentions of taking it again any time soon, maybe not.  Some of you have been very helpful. especially shadowcreeper.

Snr. at University of Houston. Psychology.. still considering grad school, somewhat. Would absolutely prefer law tho.

158 OCT Lsat/ 3.3 Lsdas Gpa
just a list on schools I am interested in (grouped) should I bother?

BC ( I am aware now, that's a reach)

Seton Hall
University of Houston
Brooklyn Law

South tx

First LSat. Really have no plans to take it again. i was stressed out enough for one year. Gpa kinda low but I am not looking at the top 30... but do I really have a chance at lower tier 1/ upper tier 2 schools?
