I have also been complete since late November. I guess we'll just have to wait until mid April...

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Re: Cal Day - Boalt Hall
« on: March 29, 2005, 11:09:09 AM »
Just to be sure, Boalt admitted students day (April 1, this friday) and "Cal day" where they open the whole campus up for visitors (April 16th) are 2 different events. I sure as hell would not want to go visit that place with 20,000 other people doing the same.... !!!

See you on Friday...

Law School Applications / Re: Cardozo Invite to apply

I was issued a fee waiver there, and told that people with my numbers had recieved scholarships in recent years. Then I got placed on their WL, with an option to start part-time this year. I wrote them an email withdrawing my app the next day. Sheesh.

Hmmm... well that's that. Ugh - april? That stinks. Tough to make plans around these decisions.

I was deferred originally - but I had never bothered to check the online status. So it is possible that I have been at "decision" for awhile, but I doubt it.

Nobody knows what's coming until we get it, so it's fine to feel positive about it until it comes! Everyone on this thread seems to have a legitimate shot.

I think at I draw the line at rubbing wood. At least for people I know through internet discussion boards.

Anyways, good luck! :D

I care - and just knocked on some good high quality wood for you. I also went to decision today or recently (hard to say when it changed, but I just checked).

Would you take Cornell over GTown if you got in?

Reviews, Visits, and Rankings / Re: Berkeley (Boalt) Visit

I am a curious why those that think Boalt Hall is so ugly feel that way - what about it, if you wouldn't mind elaborating? I have seen pictures, and while it doesn't look like Cornell or Michigan's awe-inspiring gothic halls, it looks like a pretty decent enough building.

Anyone care to go into a little more (objective if possible) detail?

I agree with Legallady - unless you are set on Gtown, don't sweat it. There is no science to this stuff. Secondly, you shouldn't be SO surprised: a) this is not the first year that GULC has done this, and b) you are certainly not the first person to not got in with seemingly superior credentials (not to mention you were complete very late in the game - that makes a difference!)

Good luck either way.
