Thank you. Yeah, I'm feeling pretty frickin right now because I wasn't really expecting to get into the school since I keep hearing how hard it is to get into a school after being deferred or waitlisted. I'm not from Ohio by the way. I actually hail from California, but I've been to Ohio and I have family in the Midwest and I really like the area (and my best friend lives in Columbus and we're film partners meaning we write screenplays and make movies).

I went complete a long time ago (around end of Feb). I spoke with a Sanjeev Sant, who was very helpful over the phone. I also emailed people like Robert Solomon and Sanjeev regarding the status of my application and in also relaying to them how badly I wanted to attend their school.

definitely accepting...osu was my first choice and I pretty much called them almost eveyday and sent them every single piece of information about me that would help them make their decision. in short, my eyes were set on osu and only osu.

I just got the call 1/2 hour ago!! whoo-hoo!! I was on deferment so I figured I had no chance of getting in.

they sent me a letter on 3/22 so I'm trying to know if thats a yes or a no.

Wow, thanks for the info. Did you by any chance speak with Sanjeev Sant? He's the one the admissions coordinator referred me to. I sent him an email on Friday asking if there was any chance a decision would be made before April 1st (he said no).

Anyway, at this point all I can do is sit and wait and hope for the best.

OSU hasn't gotten back to me yet and they said they'll be making a decision on April 1st. My app was deferred and I was sent a letter by them saying that they had already looked at my app and they wanted to take a look at it again. Anyway, I think my numbers are competitive enough to get me in, but I'm also relying on my resume (DreamWorks Studio production management on Shrek 2 and the upcoming Madagascar & commercial real estate partner in my father's business - both in California).

The one thing that worries me though is that if you got waitlisted does that mean the best I can hope for is to be waitlisted?

Both Chicago and Columbus equally appeal to me. Friends and family in both cities.

Chicago-Kent (no money)
Toledo (full ride)
Capital (1/2 tuition)

Caveat: Capital is only listed because I would like to transfer to Ohio State if OSU decides on April 1st to not accept me or waitlist me.

What would any of you pick 'cause I'm pretty torn right now.
