if you want to work in la go to loyola, they are very similar schools in every way except location

According to every complex everywhere is horrible  :-\ . They all do seem overpriced, several hundred dollars more than what you find on craigslist.

USF actually accepted me too, about 2 months after they said I would have a decision. I was not waitlisted or anything, they didn't waste time in asking for a deposit though.

Anesthesiologist. They get paid huge sums of money for putting people to sleep. Lots of prestige, excellent job security, very high pay level, rewarding profession etc. I just don't have the commitment/ability for med school. So its law school and hopefully biglaw for me.

Yeah, DHS depends primarily on your Alien number, but they do ask for your Social too...

My point was that a real SS number would not help you get an immigration document. I assume the only place an illegal would need a number would be employment.

I wouldn't worry about illegal immigrants. They don't need real SS numbers. The social security administration is currently honoring fake numbers much to the delight of counterfitters. Why bother to steal someones number when you can just make yourself a card with any number. A real number isn't even that useful for immigration as homeland security and the state department use totally different numbers for documents.

My undergrad was horrible about protecting social security numbers. Not only does everyone have to constantly write them down for everything many student and temporary workers had access to the schools information databases containing huge amounts of personal information including DOBs, SS numbers and other biographical information.

Check out the vault survey in the main USF thread,24255.msg527297.html#msg527297

I would personaly go to Hastings since its so much higher ranked and the competition is so high in San Francisco.

My XP laptop has been running continuously for 3 days. I could always install linux for the added stability, though I'm not quite masochistic enough for linux.
