The financial aid stuff is supposed to be sent to us via mail after acceptance.  Financial Aid told me they will "go out in March" they are just behind.

They are behind in sending out the info but they said yesterday that you can go online and print out the Fin Aid application for '05-'06 on your own.

does anything on our part have to be done to hear about scholarship info??  its merit based and they just pick right?

Nothing has to be done on your part.  They'll let you know if you receive merit based aid.

also has anyone heard fin. aid stuff yet?  i havent filled out the app. for that...does the fafsa stuff sub. for the finan. aid application?

You have to fill out both the FAFSA and the Financial Aid App which is available on Case's site.

Go to the admitted student section of the Case website.  They have the financial aid app online as well as a 13 page guide on financial aid.  Tuition and fees for 05-06 will be $32,855.  Wow.

I saw that too.  Total with living expenses = $47,580.
Damn, I'm gonna be in some serious debt.

Honestly I'm not sure why so many people apply to Case. If I got into Case and Cleveland-Marshall, I'd probably go to Cleveland-Marshall because I don't see anything better about Case, and it's cheaper to go to Cleveland-Marshall.
OSU is my first choice as well. It has more of a national rep and is supposed to be the best law school in Ohio.

An example:
I want to live/work in Pittsburgh after graduation.
1.) A search on martindale-hubbell shows 53 attorneys that graduated from Case working in the 'Burgh. OSU has 35 and CSU has 21.

2.) A search on NALP shows that the same 4 firms recruit on campus at both Case and OSU.  It showed 0 for CSU.

2.) A search on USNews will show a comparable starting salary, job placement rate, overall bar passage rate, judge/peer assessment rating, etc...for Case and OSU (With Case being higher on some of these)

With that said, I think it depends on where you want to end up after graduation. Once you know that, I feel that Case can open the same doors as OSU in certain areas.

I'll be 27 when school starts in the fall.

What influenced you to make that decision?

I just liked the program as a whole after looking into it.  It was tied for my first choice with Pitt.  I applied to Case ED figuring if I got in, I'd be happy to go there and pull my other apps.  I also wanted to get a head start on trying to sell my house, find a place in Cleveland, etc...

Are you going to Preview Day?

I can't make it March 18 so I'll probably head to the one in June.

I'll be starting next fall and was wondering if anyone else has decided on Case yet?

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Case Western T-Shirt

I got mine last week.  It's not a bad shirt, navy/size L.  I washed it and it shrunk a little so I gave it to my sister.
