Law School Admissions / Question about Early Decision
« on: October 31, 2004, 11:58:21 AM »
Hi all,
If I apply for Early Decision at a school that requires me to pull all apps if accepted, and I get accepted at one of my reach schools before the ED decision comes in, can I withdraw my ED application?  It made no mention of this on the website.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the advice. Pitt is my #1 choice.  I guess I'm just worried about not getting into Pitt.  I figured I'd have a better chance at Case, Early Decision, which is ranked high T2.  That's why I was wondering if Case would be better over Duquesne if ultimately ending up living in Pittsburgh.  I guess the risky part is getting accepted at Pitt and having to pull my app because of the rules of ED. Thanks again.

Law School Admissions / To ED or not to ED, that is my question

Hello all,

I currently live in Pittsburgh and plan on working here after graduation.  I have applied to Pitt, Duquesne, Case Western, and about 8 other schools.  I was thinking about applying to Case ED.  I have a 3.31 and a 156. My question is, would it be worth going to Case if I plan on living/working in Pittsburgh over Duquesne.  My numbers are pretty good for Duquesne but on the fence @ Case.  I thought maybe the ED would push me over the edge.  Chances at Pitt are slim with my numbers so is it worth the risk of having to pull my apps if accepted to Case Early Decision?  Thanks in advance.

Other than Early Decisions, it looks like the earliest most people receive acceptance is mid December.  This is what I found on LSN at least.

Hi all,

I was wondering what you guys/girls consider to be safeties when applying? i.e  Is > 80% considered safety?  Thanks in advance.
