Choosing the Right Law School / Re: 2006 USNEWS Rankings - Here it is

Has anyone from the Pittsburgh area found a copy of the new rankings on the shelves yet?

Now for the real question fellas.  What did the ladies look like?

I lived in Pittsburgh for 16 years and I maintain a leisurely 10MPH up McArdle EVERY TIME

Besides, if you live on Mt. Washington you should be the one using the incline to commute.  How cool will it be to tell your grandkids that you got to work on an incline and a huge paddle boat every morning?

I hear ya but I work 20 minutes outside of Pittsburgh so the incline/boat isn't and option.

BTW. I was the guy 2 feet behind you in your rearview mirror with my highbeams on. :)

To get to Mt. Washington from downtown, take the Liberty Bridge out of the city and across the river.  Immediately before entering the Libety Tunnel, turn right and drive up Mt. Washington.  You'll have a beautiful view of the city on your right as you ascend the mountain. [/b]

That's what I need...another tourist driving 10 mph up MacArdle roadway when I'm trying to get home.  Take the incline up.  It's the touristy thing to do.

and if you're looking for a good view, head up to mount washington.  you'll see the entire city from up there, along with some pretty expensive restaurants

Park at Station Square, which is at the foot of Mt. Washington by the river.  There are bars/restaurants down there..i.e Hard Rock Cafe, Bar Louis, Margarita Mamas.  You can then take the incline up to Mt. Washington and stand on the lookouts that overlook the city.  It's actaully one of the greatest views of a city that you can get..but I'm spoiled because I've lived up there my whole life.

I'll be at Pitt, but Duquesne grads seem to get great jobs.  And there are plenty of partners in great Pittsburgh law firms from Duquesne.  So feel good!

And Pittsburgh seems like such a great city.  I'm thinking of taking a trip there (my second trip to Pitt) this weekend (I only live four hours away, in Ann Arbor, MI).

Any suggestions?

In regards to what?..bars...restaurants?

Heading to the beach 7/16-23.  Putting my 2 weeks notice in when I get back.  Last day will be 8/05.

Congrats..and with 8K it'll make it pretty cheap. Great school in a great city. I'll be heading to Case for 3 years but plan on coming back to the Burgh to live/work.

Bumping for anyone else interested.  A few have signed up already.
