Mississippi / Re: Going to Ole Miss
« on: April 28, 2005, 08:39:12 AM »
yeah, they have told me several times that i will get in-state tuition after the first year if i follow the plan;)

- live there for 12 months
- change car tag
- get drivers licenses
- show proof of that 12 months (anything from bank deposits to grocery receipts)

I need to travel that way again (about 8 hours for me) so that i can scope out some apartments.  Has anyone found a good deal yet?  Parking seems like a real hassle on campus so i want to stay close.

thanks guys!

Started throwing out stuff i don't need today! (which is almost everything)  That way when i move next week it won't be so bad.

What's up Merc!!  I've been trying to do all that stuff we're supposed to do before all the fun starts this fall (you know drinking all night, chasing beautiful women, ect..)  And since i quit my job, i don't get to sit in front of the computer all day anymore.

Anyways, thanks for asking!!   ;D

I would hardly call Kennedy or O'Connor liberals, moderates at best.  Stevens has been on the court so long that he became a liberal as the court became more conservative.  But I will give you Souter.

Maybe not "liberals" but surely not the conservatives they were thought (hoped) to be.

I think that is the problem many Republicans are having now, they want someone who is not going to disappoint them down the road.

Lets not forget that Republicans also nominated Scalia, Thomas, and Rhenquist; who did not become liberal judges.  A trend of one is hardly convincing.

Souter, Kennedy, O'Connor, Stevens = 4

Make sure that you get SP1 if you get the file off a bit-torrent.  It's a pretty major upgrade and is free to download from the MS site.
