Law School Applications / Re: My Friend Warns Me of Law School
« on: October 23, 2005, 05:24:01 AM »
It is NOT that bad-now granted I have not experienced exams yet, but it seems like it just takes people different amounts of time to comprehend the same material.  I do my reading/briefing before class.  I get to school at 8 to read for my 9 am class.  Then, I read from 10 to 11 for my 11:00 class.  Then I read from 12 to 1:30 for my 1:30 class.  I already have the briefs typed on my computer from my breaks.  The material is fresh on my mind.  I go home at 3 and run, watch tv, nap, shop, whatever i feel like.  Sometimes I will work on an outline at night or work on a memo if one is due.  Otherwise, I Just do my outlining on the weekends.  I am not stressed out.  I am very content in fact.

Other people stay at school until 6 pm, then they go home and cook dinner, and then they study more.  I don't know how they stay sane.  I feel just as prepared for class, so I don't see the need for all of that.

HTH  :D --it doesn't have to be hell!

OR do any of you think it is too late in the game to start the process for this next school year? Does he need to wait and apply for 2007?

Studying for the LSAT / Study Question-Please Help!
« on: October 23, 2005, 05:05:02 AM »
Hey Everyone,

I went through the application process last year, but I was hoping that you could refresh me on a few things.  My boyfriend is considering lschool and I want to help him out.  He has not studied for the LSAT at all yet.  He took one practice and got a 160.  Does anybody have any suggestions for preparing him for the December LSAT or do you think it is too late for that? Would you advise waiting until the Feb test? A study plan would be great.  He is obviously not going to do a prep course.

Thanks!
