One thing you have to think about, though, is that since this thread started, a lot of people have been searching on there looking for books -- many of which have posted that they bought them.  Therefore, they've probably taken the cheapest ones.  Then of course there are the people that have normal lives that are buying the books without the suggestions from our wonderful LSD :)  I'm going to wait a little while for other random people to put their books up for sale, and hopefully find them cheaper than they are now ...

But yeah, Amazon.com has a pretty decent used book page.

Drat! I started the thread, and am only now considering putting up the money for them. Grrr ...  ;)

Haha, well just wait a little while .. save a little cash for them, then check half.com again in a few weeks and see if there are any new listings. I would bet there probably will be, and they may be cheaper then than they are now :)  This is really really stupid, but I have a little stash that I use and add to just for books from half.com haha :)

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: What's up with Syracuse?

I applied a week or so before Christmas, recieved a postcard saying they recieve my application, and they still haven't requested my report yet.  Any of you have a similar experience? I'm thinking I should call them as it is getting kind of late.

I applied just last week, have yet to receive a postcard, and they have already requested my report. You might wait until next week and then give them a call or drop an e-mail ...

12k at Florida Coastal.

Gotta love fee waivers. I wouldn't have applied at either school if it wasn't for the waivers. At least I know I'm in somewhere.

I also got accpted to Florida Coastal with 12K . and I also only applied because it was free, and the "application" took less than five minutes.  It's definitely my "last resort in case I don't get in anywhere else and my suicide attempt is unsuccessful" school.  I'm kidding about the last part, of course.

Congrats!  I slacked off and didn't send my application until last week, so it's going to be a long waiting game for me.  But congrats on getting in!!!

I received a letter from a school saying they had recevied my application and had requested my file, but when I checked online, they had not requested it.  I sent an e-mail to the school asking if there was anything I needed to do (although I knew it wasn't me!) and they wrote back saying that it had been a mistake and that my file had somehow not been requested, but that they would do it that day, and they did. He apologized like twice and made sure to add the comment "this will not negatively affect your application or review". I'd give them a call or send 'em an e-mail!
