I'm with you Eliza. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. I think the challenge might not be so much the individual material but-- rather-- making it all work together. Or maybe they kick it into high gear and kick our ass later. I dunno.
Everyone at my school says that it gets more difficult when we have our large Legal R&W assignments due because you have more to jugle.
Interesting. At UT, the writing course is only one credit hour; I'm not sure what our big assignment is....

I know this is way late and nobody cares, but I just got my 'release from the waitlist' from Stanford today, dated 8/26/05. They're cutting their waitlist to a 'very small number', which means there are still people out there in the lurch.
I received it just as I got home from my second day of classes at UT.
. No condolonces needed; this is just informational and because I really wanted to use that subject line....

By the way, anybody have any idea what happened to Javert. I am assuming he will still be my classmate soon, but he really disappeared.
I've been busy in Austin. It's amazing how many Texas Hold 'Em games y'all have here.
. I got home at about 5 AM this morning, roughly $50 richer....

Yeah, I was the first one there and found a cheerful little "Liquidation Sale!" sign on the door, dated to about a week ago. It was no big deal, however; I went about 200 feet and found Shakespeare's Pub, which was pretty empty and had a huge plojection TV.
It also had $4 Alabama Slammers. I may have overdone it a *bit*, but I wasn't driving, so no big deal....
. I also didn't wake up with a hangover, so it couldn't have been *too* bad.....
[Thanks again Ana for the ride home!]

Celark-- So, are you coming this time or not? If I'm the first one at the place, I want to know how many chairs I should try and save......

In the absence of Ana to make a final decision, I'm tempted to call it for Copper Tank now. I plan to be there at 8 or so to try and get decent seats.... anybody else coming that early?

Okay... this is getting out of hand.
I propose we go with celak's compromise suggestion of Copper Tank. It sounds like a good mix of low crowds and huge TVs, which is for the good. Does anybody have massive objections to that?
And, besides that, who's coming?
I'm in for sure. Who else?

I vote for crown and anchor too. We watched game 6 on regular sized TVs at the other place, and that wasn't a problem (there were bigger TVs, but we couldn't get access to them). What's more, for game seven, that downtown place is going to be even busier. We barely managed to get bar stools and w ewere there an hour earl last time. I doubt crown and anchor will be that busy, since they're not downtown and don't have any big screen TVs. Ergo, Crown and Anchor sounds like a smarter choice.
I strongly vote for C&A too.

For those who weren't there last night (or who left early), we made follow up plans to catch game seven in a similar fashion. Are we going to the same place? I'm perfectly happy with doing it again, but if we want to try a different place for variety, I'm happy with that too.....
PS: Trinity, you owe me $5.

Okay, sounds good Ana. I'll be there at around 7:15 too (hopefully!). [And no need to call me with the plans, obviously; if there's a last minute change where I have to cancel, I'll call you though, so you don't have to save me a seat. I anticipate being there, however.].
