Law School Applications / Re: Undergrad Majors
« on: October 11, 2004, 01:30:37 AM »
Get into a major that interests you and that you'll get a decent above a 3.0 gpa in.  Get an internship.  Go study abroad if you can.  Get into some academic extra curricular activity and some "fun" extra curricular. Keep your GPA up.

Law School Applications / Re: Questions about an undergrad double-degree

yeah you have to apply since your college (arts and science or whatever) has to make sure you have done all requirements before the university/registar can post your degree.

Recommendations / Re: LSDAS LOR driving me nuts
« on: October 10, 2004, 07:31:11 PM »
that's my problem too.  I just can't open up the form which now I know is what is driving my nuts.  I emailed the webmaster so I'm hoping I'll get some response back.

the anti-minority rants are because people are insecure about their ability to get into law school on their own merits, and feel the need to attack minorities because we supposedly take their spots in law school

yah cause we all know there are no white males in law school or have JD's all ready.  Sarcasm over.

Recommendations / LSDAS LOR driving me nuts
« on: October 09, 2004, 05:44:44 PM »
I went to a UC and decided to use the career center to file my recommendations with so all of them are on file and I they (UC career center) can just send them whereever I need.  So my question is that I can not find anywhere on the LSDAS LOR part where to send the damn LOR to.  Can someone help????

I am also a minority and a immigrant who came to the US during the civil war in El Salvador in the early 80's.  Why not bring up my background on this board before? Like others noted because many posters will try to turn it around on you or into an anti-minority rant.

i can't log on to it for some reason can someone else try and tell me if it's just my connection..

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Quality School and cost of living

I live in LA and a one bedroom just near westwood is 1200 a month.  Gas right now is 2.30 for regular.  The job market here in southern california is terrible.  Im getting out of dodge.

I got burned out on the books that are recommended to read so I decided to read something fun The Jenna Jameson biography.
