Job Search / Law Patent Program Interviews in Chicago
« on: June 28, 2006, 12:17:39 PM »
Hey there,

Is anyone else signed up for the Law Patent Program Interviews in Chicago on August 3rd and 4th?  I have a couple fraternity brothers there I will be going out with, but if anyone else is going, maybe we can chill after the interviews.

Bonus points if you're female, single and attractive ;)

No worries, I wasn't bothered.  What did you do before going to law school?

Haha, I'll defer to you - I'm a computer engineer, but I only have 5 years experience ;)

Unless you count life, then I've got 24 :)

I was thinking about getting one of these, but decided against it.  It doesn't affect the performance of your laptop at all.  It will definately take up desk space, cost alot, and make you buy a monitor.  My advice could just be to buy some nice speakers and plug them in when you want to rock out.

The professor from the paper chase teaches at my school, Boston College. He teaches several classes, most notably Corporations.  His name is Professor Brudney in real life.  I'm not sure if he teaches contracts anymore.

I'm in the same boat, where I can do contract programming work like I've been doing.  The cool thing about the game company I work for is that its no pressure, I can work 5-10 hours a week when I can, and if it can't be done, I can just tell them that, no worries.

I think I'm going to try this, we'll see how it goes.

Good Lord!  1886 sq ft for under 240,000?

The condos in boston I'm looking at are $250k for 650 sq ft.  Ugh, city prices :)

I'm looking at the option of buying vs. renting.  Is anyone else contemplating this?  Have any of the older students gone this route?  I've crunched the numbers, and it seems to be a financially wise decision.  However, any advice would be great.

Thanks!
