Why did ya'll go with WC? I'm hearing such good things about them, they are probably number one on my list to look at places.

What size did everyone go with and how far is it from school.

For those that have been there, is it worth the rent as compared to other places ya'll looked at.

House hunting from Honduras is a pain-in-the-ass!!!!!

Congrats on getting your BF back in one piece, with all his pieces. In the past 3 years Samantha and I have only been able to live togeather for a total of 4 months. Military life can be tough, you got to be tougher.

I'll have to get you over and lay down some tracks. I't pretty cool after you lay down a bass line, and a couple of guitar tracks. Your friends come over and they're like "dude, who are you listening to, thats you? pretty f-ing cool". All the great blues men dropped a few tracks every now and then. The machine doesn't steal your Mojo ;D

Do you do any recording? I've got a RPX400 and have started learning how to do some recording. I usually get frustrated with the program I'm using. I need to get more user friendly software.

I work with a girl who was in her first week at Wake and got a call from W&L. She dropped everything and didn't regret it.

Hey all,
I've been deployed lately and haven't been able to keep up with the post. Samantha (my wife) and I have pretty much decided against buying. I already have one house in Alabama and I'm pretty sure I'll try and get back out to Texas as soon as possible. I will be flying into Birmingham from Honduras the week of the 27th to get a condo or Apt. I need a place that will take my dog, so that limits my options. But I'm still down for hosting a party when we all get there.

David, it sounds like you have the same guitar collection problem that I have. I have five and a bass right now and really want to get a 57' Les Paul re-issue Gold Top, that might have to wait for a bit though. We need to make sure that we don't live in the same apt. complex or we will blow off studying and jam instead.

I want to transfer to a state school after 1L. I'm going to Samford so probably Alabama (they said I could get instate tuition if I transfer). I'm a Texas resident so I might look into Houston or Texas Tech also. I don't want to pay 24K a year when I could pay half that at a state school.

Thanks for the portal link.
Samantha, my wife, is interviewing for a couple of jobs in B-ham today, so hopefully she will get to check out some places to live before flying back to Austin. I'll fill ya'll in if she runs across anything good. :)
