Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Baylor Ding
« on: November 25, 2004, 10:03:32 AM »
I saw that Baylor has made a decision on me and mailed it out on the 23rd. I didn't get a congrat's email and I'm not that strong compared to most folks that get accepted, I can only figure the worst. At least they waited until after the turkey dinner ;D  1 down and 10 more to go.

General Off-Topic Board / Incest?
« on: November 12, 2004, 09:34:01 AM »
Is it considered incest to go to law school where you did your undergrad? It feels kind of funny, like when I used to climb the rope in gym class.  :-\ But, I already have all the sweatshirts and paraphernalia required to say “hey look where I went to school”.  ;D

Choosing the Right Law School / Ole' Miss
« on: November 02, 2004, 02:56:49 PM »
Does anyone know anyone who went to Ole Miss? How did they like it? Not Mississippi, but the school itself. So far it's looking like Ole' Miss, Mercer, Texas Tech, and STCL as a safety. Any help would be good, thanks.

Law School Admissions / Thanks Everyone

I’m sorry to hear that I wasn’t the only one to disappoint myself on the test.  I was averaging a 164 and was very happy with the possibility of getting anything over a 160. Well, chips fall as they may, I must have choked because I ended up with a 156.  Being a Company Commander in Honduras, I didn’t have the time to put as much effort into studying as I should have. I won’t be retaking the test in December because as it stands, I still have a MEDEVAC Company to run and won’t have the time to study and raise my score very much, if at all.

I would like to thank everyone on the board and congratulate those who did very well. About the only schools I had a top pick that I know are now out of reach are U Texas and SMU.  Everything else was pretty much a safety school. Come to think of it, now they are target schools, funny how that works out. :-\

I plan on sticking around on the board and look forward to hearing where everyone gets accepted. Best of luck to all ya’ll and congratulations again. ;D

Choosing the Right Law School / Northwestern

if NU is such a hound for work exp. Do they take a lower LSAT from someone who has more work exp? Does the fact that I've been an officer in the army for the past 8+ years matter more to them than other schools? If so, I just might shoot them an application for the hell of it. I get paied by the tax-payers, so It is really your money that I am spending not mine ;D
