$25k over three years.

Yo sordo,

Is the $ at Duke tempting to you or are the crosshairs set on Chicago?

Man,not sure.  From what I've heard, Chicago is truly a cut above the Virginias and Dukes of the world and the education and job opps are unbeatable.  I'm going to visit though to see what I think and feel.  Leaning Chicago right now, though.

A couple things:

1. FM transmitters are by no means your only options for an iPod/car audio connection.  I have a cable that feeds out from the back of my Alpine deck and into a mini (headphone) jack that plugs into the iPod.  Thus, my audio doesn't take quality hit like that from an FM transmitter.  Most major deck manufacturers have connector packs that allow control of the iPod through the deck itself--Alpine, Kenwood, etc. already have products to market.

2. I have an iPod and love it, but iRiver's new devices have functionality the iPods don't, like voice recorders, FM transmitters, and color screens.  The iPod is the player of choice for most because of its name recognition, ubiquity, and selection of accessories.

Traffic directing isn't without moral implications.  Imagine all the ethical car crashes that can potentially be caused. :) Nice pic.

I heard back about three weeks after I applied in mid November, but don't know how many there have been since then.  You might check last year's stats on LSN.

quick highjack . . .
Yo Sordo, are you going to that thing on Friday?  Know what I'm talking about?

Nope. Although I just realized it's at The Chef's Table which is a NICE restaurant.  Doh. Oh well.  I went to Elder Oaks' talk last week to the J Reuben Clark Law Society and sat in the fourth row.  Amazing.
