He also has to go do that at Armani to make a fully informed decision.

Where should I go next fall? / When do schools fly you out to visit?

I realize this happens sometime after they offer you admission.  From personal experience, does anyone know when schools will start offering to fly you out for a visit?

I think you completely missed my point.  You wouldn't want rice for dinner all year.  You'd want to try a variety of great restaurants, new dishes at home, etc.  Just because you can save a bunch of money doesn't mean you'd actually enjoy it.  Do yourself a favor every once in a while.  Someone who thinks they would be just fine in a $15 suit obviously hasn't tried something a little nicer (and I don't mean $3k nicer).  I thought the Men's Wearhouse suggestion was much more reasonable.

Saving Money on Dinner

$0.15 ramen noodles * 365 = $54.75
$3 frozen dinner * 365 = $1,095.00
$10 eating out at reasonably cheap cafe * 365 = $3,650.00

You can always save money on anything by buying the worst thing out there.

Yeah, I know... your speculation is as good as mine, or better I'm sure.  You're probably right about not wanting to take it home with you too.

I'm thinking I should read Double Billing and other new associate type books before I completely commit myself to this.

They really care whether or not you're physically in the office?

That's just dreadful.  Any idea on how BIGLAW firms feel about taking the work home after, say, 7pm?

Haha nice.

That reminds me, I was offered a job at an ad agency with a $15 dinner allowance.  At first I was really excited about this but then realized a dinner allowance meant I would be staying through dinner.  Not cool.

No, I'm talking about teaching law at Harvard for example.  Sorry, I thought the law part was assumed...
