Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: Cornell Summer Wait list.

I think the alphabet thing is good guess.  I'm an H and I think I got mine a couple days after jclaw, who is a C.  To think I beat up my mailman for nothing...well, he deserved for delivering those silly rejections from NYU, Columbia, Penn, and Michigan.

Even if it is the alphabet thing, I think Impaired makes an excellent point...they said late May and now we're approaching mid-June.  Since it takes a few weeks to get all the waitlist cards mailed back in, they probably won't even be able to move on the waitlist until the end of June or start of July.  Argh...More waiting for the most impatient man on earth.

sorry, guys, but i don't know about this whole alphabet thing. i'm an h as well, and STILL have not heard anything. damn cornell, when will i hear from you!?!?!?

has anyone tried to get onto the W&L message board?? i haven't recieved my password yet but it's dead :-\

haha, i noticed that, too! so, has anyone actually found a place to live yet? where is everyone living? i'm in lexington right now looking for a place. i have seen everything from absolute dumps to places that actually looked kind of nice. one lady told me that she "had a nice place" and she "wouldn't be embarassed" to show me her rental. i suppose i should have taken the hint because when i got there it was this little brown hut/trailer looking thing with 3 rooms and no closets. hm. it's definitely a lot harder to find someplace than i thought it would be, and the places i'm finding that look decent are just far enough away from school that i'd probably have to drive. does anyone know what the parking situation is like?

while this might be true, if everyone followed your logic, this board would be an absolute mess. by posting your thread only once and in the appropriate section, you help to keep lsd organized and easier to navigate for the rest of us.

Many people stay in one area and don't check the others, so, yes, I needed to start the same thread more than once. Thank you.

wow, congrats on notre dame!

Yeah, it has been my dream school for a long time.  I got in off the waitlist, so believe me, good things can still happen.

you really don't need to start the same thread more than once.

this thread is just silly. i mean, who cares? it's just a bunch of numbers.

i started out at cowell and transferred to college nine. i miss santa cruz a lot, could definitely see myself settling there one day. we babana slugs were some lucky folks. where else do you get to go to college in a redwood forest with a view of the ocean? i'm with the poster that was all about buying a house on westcliff. well, a girl can dream, right? ;)

beagle owners unite! haha, the beagle was definitely a consideration in terms of living. she definitely needs a yard to be happy, and it seems much easier to find both a yard and a place that will accept pets in lexington. she'll love hunting country, for sure. loads of new smells and animals to'll be like beagle heaven!

You and I did have a similar choice to make. Winston is bigger than Lexington of course (I used to show horses there and it is GORGEOUS!) But still not New Orleans. I felt the same way about tulane. And I plan to have fun too. But I don't need all that in order to have fun anyway.

BTW, you and I also have VERY cute beagles. I think the beagles will like huntin country more than the big city anyway ;) Plus, I think I can afford a house w/ a yard in Winston. Good luck at W&L!
