General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Re: Washington and Lee-roommate needed« on: June 17, 2005, 09:29:37 AM »has anyone tried to get onto the W&L message board?? i haven't recieved my password yet but it's dead haha, i noticed that, too! so, has anyone actually found a place to live yet? where is everyone living? i'm in lexington right now looking for a place. i have seen everything from absolute dumps to places that actually looked kind of nice. one lady told me that she "had a nice place" and she "wouldn't be embarassed" to show me her rental. i suppose i should have taken the hint because when i got there it was this little brown hut/trailer looking thing with 3 rooms and no closets. hm. it's definitely a lot harder to find someplace than i thought it would be, and the places i'm finding that look decent are just far enough away from school that i'd probably have to drive. does anyone know what the parking situation is like? 24

i started out at cowell and transferred to college nine. i miss santa cruz a lot, could definitely see myself settling there one day. we babana slugs were some lucky folks. where else do you get to go to college in a redwood forest with a view of the ocean? i'm with the poster that was all about buying a house on westcliff. well, a girl can dream, right?

beagle owners unite! haha, the beagle was definitely a consideration in terms of living. she definitely needs a yard to be happy, and it seems much easier to find both a yard and a place that will accept pets in lexington. she'll love hunting country, for sure. loads of new smells and animals to chase...it'll be like beagle heaven!
You and I did have a similar choice to make. Winston is bigger than Lexington of course (I used to show horses there and it is GORGEOUS!) But still not New Orleans. I felt the same way about tulane. And I plan to have fun too. But I don't need all that in order to have fun anyway. |
