I'm sure this will be looked at a lot just because of the topic, I apologize.
Anyone else catch this on LSN? First "deferred, accepted" of the year, apparently - and it figures that it's A. Someone with close to my numbers, and B. Someone who already decided he's not going there! How about showing me a little love instead? http://www.lawschoolnumbers.com/display.php?cycle=0405&user=Fichte

Unbelievable how long mail takes to get to me - I'm 250 miles away from DC, and mail takes a week. Postmarked January 20th, letter dated January 18th, 10K/yr at GW. Of course, this begs the question - when I called last week, on the 20th, and they told me they hadn't made a decision yet, what was going on?

I'm still waiting on Penn, BC, and Harvard. H I have no real shot at, BC isn't really on the radar anymore, but Penn certainly is. If I can get in there, it's where I'm almost certainly headed. Cornell vs. GW w/$, or even without, is a little bit of a toss-up for me. Fiancée works for Lockheed Martin, lots of opportunities in DC, and one plant 30 miles from Ithaca, in Owego. It's a 2-lane road commute, not a highway, and in NY winters, can be dicey. I probably want to end up in DC/NOVA eventually, and I'm looking at patent law, so GW holds a lot of cards there. I'm checking out both schools at the end of February/early March, so we'll see.

Be patient - I was wondering the same thing too, since I'm a 3.91/165 in engineering and people with approximately the same #'s and below were getting $10K/yr. I called the admissions office to ask when I could expect to hear about potential scholarship money, and the woman said that they were still reviewing my file for it, to look for it within a couple weeks.
Could be a line of BS, but who knows.

I'm in too, 3.91/165 - bad omen for them, however. The letter was sent to a hybrid of my current address and my permanent address, and made it to my permanent address somehow.

Mental Institution Lady: "I'm not seeing you on list. I'm beginning to think you are not even registered here. What's your name sir?"

I'd break out the Smurfs here if I could remember it... I have it at home.
Peter: "You know what I haven't had in a while? Big League Chew."
In my three brothers' Christmas presents this year, I included a packet of Big League Chew just because of this episode.
