Law School Admissions / Re: UCLA admitted student weekend. Let's talk.

AAGGHH!! I'm not going to make it to law school because I am going to kill my mail lady and go to jail.

Javert, thank you so much - my email is xxxx

I registered on the admitted student site, just saying that I would be at the reception.  Do I need to reply for any of the other events?  I'm really glad you started this thread, or I would have been bumbling around LA all weekend without knowing other stuff was going on.   :)

Maybe I'm missing something, but where are you guys seeing this itinerary?  On the admitted students website or did they mail something?

Why do I feel like I am always one step behind all of this UCLA stuff?  I hope it isn't a sign of how I would perform there.   :o

I'm still waiting to hear about fin. aid and scholarships, but it's the front runner right now for me.

Call admissions and ask for an extension.  I called IU and asked for a whole extra month and they gave it to me.  Good luck and congrats!

It's a 9-digit number. Mine was the same as it was for undergrad, but it should be printed on your admission letter.

BTW, just to let you all know, URSA is shut down from 2am-6am pacific time every morning.

EDIT: your UCLA ID is on the upper left corner of your admission letter, with the password directly below.

It worked!  I had been trying to log in via recently admitted students, but I guess all I had to do was log in regularly.  Thanks!  One last question; if you have received money or financial aid packages, does that show up in your main menu?  All mine says is 'accept or decline offer of admission."

Bruin (or anyone else)

I have tried to get onto URSA, but I don't have the admission # (I think that's what it's called; it's a 7-digit #).  I called admissions, but they're closed for Spring Break.  How did you get on to that damn site?!

That's great bruin!  I thought the admissions office was closed for Spring Break, but maybe I was wrong.

Here's a couple of questions for you guys:
1.) Has UCLA been in contact with you since your admission via email?  I have not gotten one email from them, so I am beginning to suspect that they have my address wrong.  Especially because a lady there told me she had emailed me and I never got it.

2.) What did you do for the merit application?  I'm trying to gauge whether they're going to give me any money   :)

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Not a good day for Siehead

I'm sorry Siehead, that sucks. Don't worry too much about it, things always work themselves out in the end, and you still have some great schools to pick and hear back from.  Good luck!

Oaf, I feel your pain.  I am going through the exact same situation right now and it's killing me.  Your SO doesn't sound like the most supportive person in the world, and that might be something to think about.

As for everyone saying that you should definitely go to the best school no matter what, that is almost on par with him disregarding your wants and needs in the first place.  You should definitely take his feelings into account, but only if he's willing to return the favor.  Situations like this are painful and awful to go through, because no one can predict the future and we all want to make the right decisions.  Best of luck to you, I hope it all works out.
